First half=Freakin’ Awesome!
Second half? Eh, we’ll see. Sounds a little pandering to the BAC’s at first glance.
I’m still struck by the predominance of the color yellow in the preview for the new movie. Is that meant to suggest a new day for Superman?
Well I agree completely. The first half was a truly excellent montage.
The second half, “for this reason I have sent them you, my only son.” This is the second time a young Jewish only child has been sent to save the earth. I am hopeful it will work out better this time around.
Is this movie being done by anyone affiliated with the Chris Reeve movies? I think it would be appropriate and good to include in the beginning or at the end a tribute to Chris and Dana.

5) Who do you admire that would surprise others?
Now, name your four blogs.
I don’t know what BAC’s are, but I liked the whole thing.

I think it’s interesting that they are using the “legacy” of Superman to sell the new film, and that (presumably) the new film borrows both the theme music and Marlon Brando from the 1978 blockbuster. (Though I noticed that the 1940’s Max Fleischer cartoons were missing from the preview …)
If the story elements are the same in the new film as in previous big and small screen versions, why bother with another remake? Sure, the visual effects will be superior, but … the same story, again?
Sorry, I’m just not a fan of sequels and remakes. (James Bond excepted.)
Mike, having been spoiled for some of the basic facts (though certainly not everything), it’s definitely not a remake. A sequel, sure, but sometimes those are great.
Mike, I thought a quick snip or two…
