Rush Limbaugh Is Racist, Here Are 46 Examples
Tweet
Conservatives have claimed for a long time that Rush Limbaugh isn’t a racist, that this image of the conservative thought leader is an invention of the so-called “liberal media.” This list exposes that for the lie that it is. It is a selection of Limbaugh comments, largely from the last 5-6 years (Limbaugh has been on the air for decades, but only has been closely monitored since Media Matters’ launch in 2004). The list has been pruned of simply outrageous statements to reflect the more racist proclamations by this leading conservative.
Limbaugh is not a fringe conservative media figure. Republican elected officials bow at his altar with alarmingly frequency, and he has hosted no less than the President of the United States on his show (President Bush also hosted this unapologetic racist at the White House).
Limbaugh is among the top 2-3 most listened to political figures in America, and was invited to be the keynote speaker at CPAC, the leading conservative gathering.
1 Limbaugh on Obama: “Halfrican American” [1/24/07]
2 Limbaugh on Obama: His “only chance of winning is that he’s black” [6/2/08]
3 Limbaugh on Jesse Jackson: Kerry camp got “a chocolate chip” [1/30/04]
4 Limbaugh: “If Obama weren’t black he’d be a tour guide in Honolulu” [7/6/10]
5 Limbaugh twice used word “spade” during discussion of Obama [1/15/08]

11 Limbaugh: Obama and Holder “continue to protect and represent” New Black Panther [7/12/10]
14 Limbaugh mocks Chinese president’s untranslated speech [1/19/11]
15 Limbaugh photoshops Rep. Clyburn “driving Miss Nancy” [11/12/10]
16 Rush proposes a new leadership position for Rep. Jim Clyburn: “Driving Miss Nancy” [11/11/10]
17 Limbaugh: All Dems “had to do was nominate an African-American and [they've] got Colin Powell” [5/18/09]
18 Limbaugh: Obama is “this little boy, this little man-child president” [10/27/09]
19 Limbaugh: “For the first time in his life, Paterson is gonna be a massa” if he chooses Massa’s replacement [3/9/10]
20 Limbaugh: Basketball is “the favorite sport of gangs” [10/07/09]
21 Limbaugh: Illegal immigrants are an “invasive species” [4/4/05]
23 Limbaugh: “[M]inorities never do anything for which they have to apologize” [4/13/07]
24 Limbaugh: “The government’s been taking care of [young blacks] their whole lives” [2/5/07]

30 Limbaugh: “Obama has disowned his white half … he’s decided he’s got to go all in on the black side” [3/21/08]
31 Limbaugh: Obama is “more African in his roots than he is American” and is “behaving like an African colonial despot” [6/26/09]
32 “[I]n Obama’s America, the white kids now get beat up with the black kids cheering” [9/15/09]

Is Limbaugh racist AND a vile belly crawling pustule on the ass of humanity?
Pustules eventually drain and give you relief, Limbaugh–not so much.
Limpballs is a racist. In other news, water is wet and summer comes after spring.
I think he’s probably more of a race baiter.
Limbaugh’s just an isolated case. And so are his millions of regular conservative listeners. They’re just a few million isolated case dittoheads is all.
I would say that the phrase “Halfrican-American” isn’t inherently racist (I’ve often heard it used as a good-natured slang term for mixed-race people) but that Limbaugh’s use of it was racist in context.
I’m also not sure that “spadework” was intentionally racist (has he used the word in reference to other politicians? That would be a clue), but considering the source I don’t really have any trouble believing that it was.
And even if you took that one off there’d still be 45.
Silly Oliver, you need 47 examples to prove that someone is racist.
Oliver, you’re going to keep Manju up all night with 47 counter-examples to find and cite……..
“(President Bush also hosted this unapologetic racist at the White House).”
Both Bushes phoned his show on its 20th anniversary and they couldn’t suck and swallow fast enough. It was gross.
[...] This is not to say that racism does not exist because we all know that it does; just listen or read through a Rush Limbaugh show and I’m sure you’ll come away offended. However, it is not the pure presence of racism [...]
I have no idea how many actual examples of racist statements by Limbaugh you could have found, but you have not found 46 here.
In my opinion, the following are not at all racist:
#2, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, 17, 18, 20, 21, 23, 25, 26, 36, 39, 41.
“wants to be the black FDR” is not racist (29)
“behaving like an African colonial despot” (31)
# 32 – It may be unfair to blame Pres Obama, but it is not racist.
# 33 – Pointless, but not racist.
# 43 – In context, it is not at all racist.
# 46 – Implying a black man is an Oreo is racist? Are you kidding? So all the statements have made about blacks acting white, and / or selling out are racist, too?
And, please, lefties, let’s try to be more imaginative in the ad hominem attacks, since I do not anticipate anyone will even attempt to argue that I am incorrect.
Frank: “In my opinion, the following are not at all racist:”
So in your opinion arguing that someone got to a position of power because they are black and not because they are qualified is not racist.
Amazing.
“And, please, lefties, let’s try to be more imaginative in the ad hominem attacks, since I do not anticipate anyone will even attempt to argue that I am incorrect.”
Wrong again, Frank. Just like you were wrong about the King of Moab. Seriously though, how does it feel to know your religion was plagiarized from the Canaanites?
As with the King of Moab argument (which you indubitably lost) the evidence is against you, and you have provided none in support of your position(s)
But I understand that this is a left wing blog, and therefore you can say whatever you want, and no supporting evidence is ever required.
Pres Obama was elected because a) He got more votes from blacks than even other Democrats have gotten; and b) Because many white voters wanted to demonstrate that they were not prejudiced, and would vote for a black President. Ergo, and ipso facto/i>, he was elected President because he was black, and that is a statement of fact that is not influenced by racism.
CSS You lose – again…

“Because many white voters wanted to demonstrate that they were not prejudiced, and would vote for a black President.”
The veracity of your statement assumes that there’s racism in America, otherwise there would be no need to demonstrate the absence of prejudice.
Therefore your statement is false because we all know that racism is dead in America.
isms, no one said there was no racism in America. Whether Limbaugh made 4, 6, 0r 146 racist statements says very little about just how pervasive racism might be. It is encouraging that so few people want to be perceived as racist, even if they are, from time to time, guilty of racist thoughts and or statements.
It is important to remember that racism is not as strong, or pervasive as it one was. It is also important to remember that black racism, while it is unhealthy, is only possible where blacks are free to express it, a freedom they did not even possess before the 1960′s.
Whether Limbaugh made 4, 6, 0r 146 racist statements says very little about just how pervasive racism might be.
Aside from the fact that he has millions of listeners, who call themselves ‘Dittoheads’ because of their nuanced, balanced approach to what Big Pharm says to them every day.
It is important to remember that racism is not as strong, or pervasive as it one was.
Which is why everyone left of the KKK trips over themselves to criticize language like Limpballs every day of the week.
Rush can discredit himself if he is so bad. As an Independent I must say this makes liberals look very confused.
In my opinion, the following are not at all racist:
#2, 6, 7, 10, 17, 41
So you don’t find it racist to state that the only way a black person can succeed at something is for white people to feel sorry for him?
18
You don’t see how referring to a black man as “boy” is racist?
21
You also have no issue with someone referring to immigrants as an “invasive species”, as though they weren’t human?
9, 23, 25, 26,
You don’t find anything racist about whining about how whites are so put upon to treat minorities with something vaguely representing respect?
Pres Obama was elected because a) He got more votes from blacks than even other Democrats have gotten; and b) Because many white voters wanted to demonstrate that they were not prejudiced, and would vote for a black President. Ergo, and ipso facto/i>, he was elected President because he was black, and that is a statement of fact that is not influenced by racism.
Frank, the fact that you believe this is why people voted for Obama clearly shows that, at best, you were and still are completely oblivious to the political climate of this country. At worst, it shows you’re completely oblivious to the racial climate of this country. Either way, you obviously have no clue what you’re talking about.
Frank DiSalle says: “As with the King of Moab argument (which you indubitably lost) the evidence is against you, and you have provided none in support of your position(s)”
God tells the Israelites he will deliver Moab to them.
He doesn’t.
God’s a failure.
Why does this happen? Because the King of Moab sacrifices his son to his god.
Your pathetic argument against that was? Oh right, after the King sacrifices his son, the Israelites became demoralized and left on their own.
If you really believe that, you probably also believe you can cure leprosy with dove’s blood.
Or you can drink lethal poison and not be hurt. (I know your kids want you to believe that.)
