Holocaust Deniers Are Really Sick, Twisted, SOBs

Carolyn Yeager is one such psychopath.

The aim of the thoughtful Germans who ran the place actually was “reform, re-education and rehabilitation.” Inmates were taught trades there. Townspeople in the surrounding area saw life at Auschwitz as “luxurious,” what with the inmates’ “attractive red-brick sleeping quarters,” complete with “bunk beds with mattresses … flush toilets, porcelain-covered stoves for cozy heating, and double-paned casement windows.” The paths were “tree-lined,” there were flowers planted before every barracks, and the Nazis regularly showed movies to the inmates.

Yes, Auschwitz had an art museum, a library, regular concerts and sporting events, a “theater for music and drama,” a swimming pool (sometimes used for water polo) and a brothel for lonely inmates — all round, as Yeager writes, “a flourishing cultural life.” It also had two fine post offices because “the Geneva Convention rules, strictly followed by the Germans, ensured the sending and receiving of mail by all prisoners.” Why, the kindly Nazis even provided special pre-printed cards and letter forms! And their health care system was world class — after all, for the Nazis, “the health of the labor force was a prime concern.”

This, at least, is the view of Carolyn Yeager, a woman of leaden stupidity who took a walking tour of Auschwitz last year and decided that the accounts of thousands of victims, perpetrators, camp liberators and Nazi officials including Auschwitz’s most infamous commandant were all hogwash — a transparent ploy by post-war propagandists to say ugly things about caring Germans.

  1. People like this are only worth recognizing to ridicule and admonish their refusal to accept reality.

Ironically, they are the ones most deserving of an extended incarceration in these ‘holiday’ camps.

I just don’t understand what could possibly make anyone admire the abominable evil the Wermacht represents.

Fuck David Irving and his Nazi apologist posse

Crazy and deranged, certainly, but who is she? She’s not running for office is she? These views should be condemned when found, but if we devote our time to criticizing every random crackpot who comes down the pike, we won’t have time to really hit those crackpots with the potential to do real damage to society, such as by say holding high office and implementing their bigotry as policy.

Been to Auschwitz several times…what is this woman describing? Museum? She does know that it was erected for tourism purposes and not a “perk” to going the work camp. Did she miss the furnaces and showers during the tour? They weren’t baking bread. The video you watch if you get a chance to tour this camp is the most inhumane and disgusting spectacle you will ever witness in your life. This woman is a grade A idiot.

  5. ckennedy says:

This type of thinking in the face of mountains of documented facts and images to the contrary is a special kind of fantastic delusional state. I don’t know the specific diagnosis, but people like this function in a day to day manner and are clearly insane.

My Mother grew up in Germany during that time. I can tell you that there is NO truth in this woman’s ridiculous, malevolent, sick statements.

Now I am going to go vomit.

When a person such as this draws the attention of the public, they must be condemned/refuted/mocked/ridiculed, and so forth, regardless of their position in life.

Not to do so would be irresponsible.

  8. These people do serve one useful purpose, but it’s a very subtle one.

Germany didn’t get the way it did because all Germans were evil. It got that way because enough were willing to look the other way, and because some were just not willing to believe it could really be happening.

These people are good reminders of how big the risk is, and how important it is to be vigilant.

The US admits that it has used white phosphorus as an incendiary munition in Iraq. A great many right wingers insist that, no, it was only used for smoke generation. Why? Because white phosphorus is a horrible terror-weapon. They either don’t want to believe that “we” would do such a thing, or, they are afraid that some bleeding heart liberal will throw a hissy fit and hurt the war effort. “Good, patriotic Americans” all, I’m sure.

I clicked through to the website of the Barnes Review, which published this rubbish. Here’s a sample of titles available on their home page:

“How the South Could Have Won the Civil War”
“Blacklisted by History: The Untold Story of Senator Joe McCarthy”
“Brainwashed for War, Programmed to Kill: The Zionist Global War Agenda”
    “The Inequality of Human Races”

    I need a shower.

As I like to say, every bell curve has two ends, and these folks are WAAAAY over at the left.

Assuming intelligence and human decency are maxed on the right, that is.
