NASA: Actually, Viking DID Find Organic Material On Mars
Tweet
We need to go.
Thirty-four years after NASA’s Viking missions to Mars sent back results interpreted to mean there was no organic material – and consequently no life – on the planet, new research has concluded that organic material was found after all.
The finding does not bring scientists closer to discovering life on Mars, researchers say, but it does open the door to a greater likelihood that life exists, or once existed, on the planet.
‘We can now say there is organic material on Mars, and that the Viking organics experiment that didn’t find any had most likely destroyed what was there during the testing,’ said Rafael Navarro-Gonzalez of the National Autonomous University of Mexico.

More importantly, how does this improve Muslims’ self esteem?
Will the Book of Mars follow the Book of Revelation or does it precede the Book of Genesis?
Farris, could you possibly hate muslims more? Your comment is apropos of nothing. I mean, what is it — was your mom mugged by a muslim? Did a muslim kid steal your teddy bear? Is it that most of them are brown, so they scare you?
Follow-up question: how many times a day do you catch a glimpse of yourself in a mirror and barf a little in your mouth?
Ummm…you guys do realize that organic!= biological?
Jupiter is replete with organic compounds, but no life(more than likely not). Compounds can be classified as organic by simply having carbon as a molecular base.
There are three kinds of people in this world, when it comes to the announcement of a new scientific discovery that is possibly very important and useful and which at the very least reminds us that the universe is truly a marvelous place:
Those who respond with quiet awe and cheerful excitement.
Those who respond with a raft of questions and speculation.
Those who look for a way to use it to further the meanest and lowest parts of their personal agenda.
The trolls on this site truly are racist scum.
I know a wingnut who absolutely flipped out when the Mars meteorite was found. He’d criticize the more rational minds who pondered the discovery. Later, turned out he was a latent homosexual.
Anyways, I find the theory that Mars was once far more earthlike interesting.
