Frank Quitely? So this means the book is coming out in a year?
I know it’s a standing and deserved joke about Quitely’s inability to make deadlines…but damn, I’d rather wait for Frank Quitely than get punctual crap from other pencilers.
So who are the vaguely anime-sentai-team looking kids at the bottom?
Quitely is one of the best of our current crop of artists. His run on Batman and Robin has been exceptional.
The “vaguely anime-sentai-team looking kids at the bottom” are the Legion of Super Heroes’ big three-Saturn Girl, Cosmic Boy and Lightning Lad. Since I’m way behind on DC’s status-quo, I have no idea which Legion it is, or if they even currently exist. Being as they’re from the future, they’ve been kicked around harder by the continuity changes to the DCU than anyone this side of Donna Troy.
“The Great Darkness Saga” is still very awesome, though, almost 30 years later. Even though the “big reveal” is ruined by the cover of the collection.
Woot! Now if Netflix can come along with more of the animated movies online…..
