Conservatives Silent As Mice Following Federal Court Ruling On Stem Cell Research

Because, you see, when conservatives agree with a federal court’s ruling they get a sort of amnesia about “judicial activism” and the like.

A federal district judge on Monday blocked President Obama’s 2009 executive order that expanded embryonic stem cell research, saying it violated a ban on federal money being used to destroy embryos.

The ruling came as a shock to scientists at the National Institutes of Health and at universities across the country, which had viewed the Obama administration’s new policy and the grants provided under it as settled law. Scientists scrambled Monday evening to assess the ruling’s immediate impact on their work.

I happen to be a strong supporter of stem cell research, but I’m also a supporter of the rule of law. We have a system of laws and courts in America and that means that court findings don’t always jibe with my ideology.

And that’s okay.

    Just like the could give a fuck about the sensitivities of civil rights leaders and others who are upset that Glenn Beck is holding a rally in front of the Lincoln Memorial for a bunch of angry white people to “reclaim the civil rights movement” on the “hallowed date” of MLKs Dream speech.

    They are hacks to the core.

    I’m with US court! I think this should’ve been done before. I’m also against those who say “boy or girl? you choose”, you know what they do? if parents want girls they kill the boys before they’re born. and if parents want boys then they kill girls before their birth. This is absolute crime. I don’t know how people openly practice this horrendous crime and no-one stops them.
