Ehrlich Spins Palin Rejection As A Positive

This is actually smart of Ehrlich. In Maryland, a Sarah Palin endorsement is not a positive anywhere outside of a Republican primary. And probably not even then.
The Ehrlich campaign embraced the endorsement as proof that he’s a moderate Republican.
‘This is a reaffirmation of Bob Ehrlich’s longtime independent streak,’ spokesman Andy Barth said in a statement.

So in a way, Erlich is saying that Palin is an insider. I thought she was the maverick-y independent.
Funny how the GOP is either “conservative” or “independent” yet rarely ever “Republican.”
Now, Ken Doll will have to spend his meager resources in the primary defending his right flank, while O’Malley – with no credible primary opponent – gets to conserve his for the general.
