The logic is awesome: A group of people rejected the idea which means they must have engaged in a process to arrive at the decision to reject the idea which means that they must have “considered” the issue both ways, so it’s okay to say that they “considered” calling Barnes a racist. Of course, since this was a group of people considering together amongst themselves we can also say they “conspired” to call him a racist because they “considered” it.

For what it’s worth, I teach various levels of English, including conversational. I’m also involved in curriculum development for the university and I do some editing work on their English-language publications. Granted, the third thing isn’t in my contract but I’m happy to help out with it. Professors will also come to me for help editing English-language papers that they’re submitting for publication. I make a little extra for that, which is kind of a win-win.
It’s a lot more satisfying and fun than being a day-trader, that’s for sure.
