What’s Glenn Beck’s Role In The Attempted Attack On The Tides Foundation?

1:01 pm EST July 26th, 2010 | Conservative | 10 Comments

Today on the radio, Glenn Beck explained that he’s the tip of the spear in attacks versus the Tides Foundation. As previously noted, Tides has had practically no mentions in media venues other than Fox, and on Fox, it has mostly been Beck.

Let’s do math. If some nutjob were to have obtained a negative perception of Tides, that is, someone aimed the gun, where did it come from?

To be even more blunt about it- if we were to apply Glenn Beck logic to the attack- couldn’t you draw a chalk line connecting Beck to the shooter, I mean it sure seems like a solid in Beckian illogic.

Beck also implored his listeners not to turn to violence today, according to MMFA.

    Well timed. Well timed.

  4. Scott says:

Beck has always employed his audience to be peaceful, not just today. The left is waiting for another McVeigh to sink the ship.

It is only a matter of time before Glenn Beck finds himself staring down the business end of a punishing civil suit. Just saying, not being a lawyer, and stuff.

And yes, I do fervently wish just comeuppance upon one of the most reckless and dangerous demagogic loons to come along in recent memory.

Does that make me a bad person? If it does, I’ll accept it. Much like one wishes a bully would get a little taste of his own medicine. Civilized? Hardly. Human? You betcha.

Whoa, slow down there Jackson. Let’s not for get that this guy was distraught because he was unemployed. With unemployment at 9.5 %, that roughly 28,000,000 jobs that have either been lost or not created. The real questions is what is Obama’s role here?

  7. Prodigal says:

Thank you, Barry, for the reminder that no matter how heinous the actions of those on the Right, people such as yourself will fight tooth and claw to try to deflect blame from the actual guilty party.

Then Beck is an idiot. The very idea that you can demonize anybody and then expect none of your audience will react violently to said demon is naivete of the highest order.

Beck knows exactly what he’s doing…but he also knows enough to cushion himself against culpability.

  9. SteveCo says:

Scott (aka unpaid intern) it is ironic you used the word “employed,” which many are not, instead of “implored,” as in pleading… guess that word isn’t in the DNA, eh?

Obama is not the one that caues some one to attack white cops. just becaues he said they actted badly in the case with his friend. and more, than Beck, is the one that caues the man to do this group come on. If ever time one of us say any thing and some nut goes out and attacks them we say nothing about any thing out of fear right!
