GOP: Back To Bush?

The Republicans have begun talking up the Bush era. They couldn’t possibly be that stupid, could they? I mean, Republicans push a lot of stupid, asinine ideas but generally they’re pretty decent at the marketing stuff.
I can’t imagine that their brilliant idea for the fall is “remember that guy that almost destroyed America? That, again!”
Come October (correction: Bush’s book is coming out right after the election, but the innards will likely come out pre-election), Bush’s new book that somebody wrote for him is going to come out. It will no doubt be accompanied by a PR blitz of some sort. Are Democrats going to end up sending Bush a thank you card? I am more than willing to send a bouquet to Cheney.

Sometimes it’s nice to ask the rhetorical question.

Good thing only 20% of the country (i.e. liberals) agree with you.
Given the Republican record and idiotic slant (like this one), Democrats should be talking about ADDING seats in November. Of course big Repubican money + smear tactics geared to personalities–which will probably distract Dems from these gimmes–will probably have an impact.
Sub 6% unemployment?
Sub $200 Billion deficits?
Yeah, those sure were the Dark Ages…
SF – Wow, that’s like using the Bush numbers from January to September of 2001 to claim his national security bona fides.
Which would only be slightly better than claiming “6 years with no terrorist attacks on American soil!” like you usually do.

No, GreyGhost, 20% was Bush’s approval ratings, not disapproval.
GG, 18% of the country believes that the sun revolves around the earth, mostly (I suspect) for religious reasons. Double that number to include the insane, the profoundly stupid, and the minions of Satan, and you have the approximate number who think Bush was a good president.
The unemployment rate was 8.5% when Bush left office, Farris, and in September 2008, the Congressional Budget Office was projecting that the 2008 deficit would be $407 billion.
Wow, how could he possibly be so totally wrong on both of the things he thought he had a clue about?
How many 9/11′s have occurred under Obama’s watch?
See what happens when the little people rebel against the plutocrat?
Obamacare. Socialized recession. Nukular Islam. Pelosi. Brown people everywhere.
Change back to the times before the change.
We will protect you and take care of you.
Silly silly little people.
