Freedom’s Downside: Rumsfeld On The Loose

One of the side effects of our free and open society is that you have to accept the idea that Donald Rumsfeld isn’t just a free man, but that he gets honored at the Pentagon and gives a speech. With the exception of Bush, nobody else is as culpable in the failure of the Iraq war than Donald Rumsfeld. He has the blood of thousands of Americans on his hands, as well as Iraqis who perished due to his malfeasance. He is easily the worst secretary of defense in U.S. history, and one of the worst public servants to work for the United States.

May he rot.

  1. JR (not jr) says:

Because I feel compelled to point this out whenever it’s topical:

We can still impeach the bastards. There’s no rule limiting impeachment to those still in office, and it can establish lifetime disabilities that would keep Bush, Rumsfeld, Cheney, and the rest of the (and I say this in all literalness) war criminals from ever darkening the doorways of the American government.

    Just sayin’.
