I bet a bit of this, well, phenomenon, stems from the one child (male) policy and it’s very possible negative mental aspects resulting from failure to produce a male. Dad’s who only could produce girls and the mental jujitsu from having multiple abortions in order to preserve the chance of having a male heir and then resulting in the wife leaving and then allowing a frustrated justification based on jealousy, whatever, to seek revenge against the state by killing products of successful desired unions?

    A guess.

How the heck did you arrive at your guess based on the info in the article?

  8. Others have suggested that the attacks are a form of revenge on society by individuals with no outlet for their anger in a political environment heavily controlled by the ruling Communist Party.
I once read that in Europe’s feudal era, individuals often went mad, and ran off into the forest, never to return. This may be a similar response, expressed violently. But I don’t see any connection between this phenomenon and the “one child per family” rule.
