Speaking Sunday on ABC’s ‘This Week,’ Connecticut Rep. John Larson said, in his words, ‘We have the votes now — as we speak.’

Luke Russert is reporting that the “Stupak 8″ has reached a deal with the White House on an Executive Order and that would put the vote count at 222. Press conference at 1200 or 1230.

    God, I hope so.

On another note, I’m not sure what’s sweeter: reading Patriot fan sites after New England gets knocked out of the playoffs or reading Red State after this passes.

Yeah, voting for the bill is suddenly a smart move politically. Shocker. Who could have predicted? Wingnuts are screaming “Keep your government hands off my Medicare?” Do they ever tire of being on the Wrong Side of History (e.g., Civil Rights, Gay Rights, Womens’ Rights, Iraq, Torture, and many, many more)?
