The chairman of the Democratic caucus in the House says his party has the 216 votes needed to pass President Barack Obama’s historic health care bill.
Speaking Sunday on ABC’s ‘This Week,’ Connecticut Rep. John Larson said, in his words, ‘We have the votes now — as we speak.’

God, I hope so.
On another note, I’m not sure what’s sweeter: reading Patriot fan sites after New England gets knocked out of the playoffs or reading Red State after this passes.
He’s moved into career survival mode. I still hope it’s short-lived.
Yeah, voting for the bill is suddenly a smart move politically. Shocker. Who could have predicted? Wingnuts are screaming “Keep your government hands off my Medicare?” Do they ever tire of being on the Wrong Side of History (e.g., Civil Rights, Gay Rights, Womens’ Rights, Iraq, Torture, and many, many more)?
