OK, I thought he did alright in the Fantastic Four films. He was very entertaining but I don’t think he could play both characters in the Marvel Comics Movie Universe. I also think he’s a little small to be Captain America… – Kani Ayubu, The Black Art Depot
I don’t hate this, though I wish he were a little older. Certainly he was the only half-way decent thing about those FF abortions. OTOH, I don’t think Captain America converts to film so I expect his 3-picture deal will end up being a 1-picture deal plus, maybe, some Avengers flicks.
So it’s official: they’re not going to make any effort to maintain any sort of continuity.
/NERD RAGE!!!
The FF films weren’t Marvel Studios continuity, nor were the Ang Lee Hulk. That’s why you have RDJ’s Tony Stark in the Edward Norton Hulk film, and why you can have Chris Evans as Cap in the same universe.
Just watched him in Push with Dakota Fanning. Good movie. it gave my wife a new catch phrase: “I’m powering my use!”

Good! I thought both FF movies were terrible and I would be thrilled to see them both written out of “continuity” and then rebooted in a few years with a decent script, a credible Dr. Doom and a Susan Storm Richards who doesn’t look like a porn star.
I was really pushing for Josh Holloway, Sawyer from LOST. Why doesn’t this guy have a movie career????
“Credible Dr. Doom”. Sigh. I wish! That was the biggest disappointment, of many, in the first FF movie. Doom was a powerhouse.
