Eternal Blood On His Hands: 7 Years Of Iraq War
Tweet
Today is the seventh year of one of the worst presidential decisions in the history of the United States: the decision by George W. Bush to invade Iraq for no good reason, with no serious plans, and mismanaged at almost every point in order to help him electorally.

Oliver, I don’t think it was to help him electorally; I think it was spite, pure and simple. He thought Saddam had made his (W’s) daddy look bad, so Saddam had to pay. Plus, if he made Saddam pay, he’d be a bigger man than his daddy. All those dead Iraqis? Collateral damage.
I was right about it then, and I remain right about it now.
How did anyone in the United States not know that Bush was lying about the WMD? How stupid did you have to be?

Are you kidding? Don’t be naive. That was part of it, for sure.
Hey, remember when Fox “News” showed the Shock and Awe bombing campaign and set it to music (I saw via the Daily Show)? Remember that? That was awesome! God bless Fox “News”.
Remember when Technical President George Bush, Jr. said that Saddam had kicked the weapons inspectors out (they really left because Cheney et al had to have their war)? Remember that? That was awesome!
Remember when Technical President George Bush, Jr. claimed that “we have found the Weapons of Mass Destruction”? Remember that? That was awesome!
Remember when right wingers were calling opponents of the Iraq Invasion “traitors” and “fifth columnists” and “anti-American”? Remember that? That was awesome!
Heckofa job, modern Republican party. Thanks chickenhawks. My cousin is so dadgum proud of you! Assholes!
If Democratic presidents like FDR and Truman were in charge instead of an incompetent asshat like Bush II we’d be close to ending (and winning) our second WWII right about now.
But I’m happy to have Obama in office. Just wish he’d speed up the time-table on getting us out of Iraq for good.
Fox News? Heck, remember when Toby Keith showed footage of shock and awe set to music?
I guess if you want to be patriotic, you have to cheer for mindless death and destruction.
If our legislators actually had a spine, we’d be “celebrating” the 7th anniversary by watching the trial of Bush, Cheney and crew.
Did Drudge really say that?
If Pres Obama were the President in 1944, we’d either be speaking German now — or Russian.
You sure it wouldn’t be Kenyan, Frank?
If George W. Bush had been president on December 7, 1941, we would have declared war on Chile.
If Sarah Palin had been president in 1945, she would have cut
spendingtaxes and lifted the spirits of the American people.Well, sure. Being a Texan, he wanted their Chile powder.
Kenyan, Quaker? You lefties crack me up… Couldn’t you at least have checked out what language they speak in Kenya ( English and Kiswahili ).
BTW , the blood has been passed on, according to Cindy Sheehan.
I note , also , that there were about 10,000 people at the demonstration and it showed up on the top of my home page news… Meanwhile there have been hundreds of thousands of Tea Party demonstrators that I am still waiting to hear about — aside, of course, from the two people that were unkind enough to use the n-word , and the f-word.
Does n-word stand for Nanny Government , and f-word for Fiscal Irresponsibility?

Rider, I’ll say one thing: I figured that he had to have more solid intelligence than he seemed to have because I figured he didn’t have balls enough to do the invasion if he wasn’t sure he’d be vindicated. Sure, the presented evidence was thin (and the evidence on nuclear weaponry was flat out dishonest), but he had to have more, because he’s such a big baby he couldn’t possibly face the risk of being wrong.
I never dreamed – never even *dreamed* – that they would cover his ass so thoroughly, when he was so disgracefully incorrect (let’s ignore “lie” versus “incredibly, amazingly, historically stupid”).
Iraq opened my eyes about a lot of things. The blatancy of the lies was incredibly disturbing. But the willful covering for him sickened me even more.
And what makes you say that, Frank? What, as his actions as a Commander-in-Chief thus far make you say that?
Half of him started by coming out of the penis of a black man.
War takes the place of sex for a lot of people. That’s why it is so popular with them.
I am not saying this to be snarky, but with complete sad and sober sincerity.
We should try to develop a medication that can help people like this.
And I am completely sincere and serious with that comment, too.
how many soldiers did he send in to Tora Bora to capture Bin Laden? He’s got teh blood of over 6000 US and COalition troops, plus the dead in Spain, plus London, plus the innocent Iraqis on his hands. All it takes is one Grand Jury and Buglosi will have him in his sights. Buglosi btw has some experience with mass murderers and a 100% conviction record for murder trials.
