Jags Fans: No Tebow Please
Tweet
Hey Redskins fans, we need to do this too:
During a media conference call with Jacksonville Jaguars general manager Gene Smith today, it was revealed that in a poll of 800 Jags season ticket holders, 55 percent voted against the idea of the team drafting Tim Tebow — in any round and in any capacity (this according to Jags beat writer Vito Stellino). This is an interesting wrinkle, because team owner Wayne Weaver has been quoted as saying that he’d be amenable to Tebow on the roster if the Florida Hero of Intangibles put butts in the seats.

I like Kissing Suzy Kolber’s ‘better know a draft pick’ on Tebow:
Strengths: Intangibles
Weaknesses: Tangibles
I think he’d be a pretty solid full back/half back/TE player. I think he’d be great in an offense designed with two QB/HBs with someone like Michael Vick, but i sort of doubt you’ll see a completely new offense appear next year.
I don’t think he’ll be good NFL QB as the position currently exists, but these things are VERY hard to predict and I totally could be wrong.
It would be a terrible idea adding Tebow. Even in a tight end capacity, we have Cooley and Davis, what is he going to bring to the table?
