Gordon Brown Plans Speech Against Right Wing Undermining Of Progress

A lot of what he plans to say could easily apply to the American right, but nobody on the left in America – including President Obama – says such things in such explicit terms here.

Friday’s speech comes amid a bitter battle between Labour and the Tories over plans to tackle Britain’s £178 billion deficit, with ministers warning that attempts to cut spending too quickly could undermine the fragile recovery.

‘All over the world, the new tactic of the right is to present themselves as moderate and mainstream. But when the tough questions are asked of them, the truth is revealed,’ Mr Brown is expected to say.

‘Instead of helping a recovery, their hatred of government action would risk the recovery. Instead of defending ordinary families, they would kick the ladder of opportunity away from ordinary families. Instead of supporting middle classes, their policies would hurt the middle classes.’

    Yeah. Unfortunately Gordon Brown is one of the principle reasons we have a deficit as big as £178 billion, so the correct analogy of this happening in the US would be GWB standing up and accusing the Democrats of standing in the way of peace.

    Black conservatives are the best to know about this movement since they have struggled in so many ways over the years. They understand that big government and entitlements not only hurt them but hurt everyone by making themselves slaves to big government. It won’t happen with these people. They are true Americans and true conservatives. They don’t need anyone to tell them how to lead their own lives. As a Tea Party member myself I am glad to join ranks with black conservatives to fight this socialist. big government and to keep our Constitution safe from these Progressive morons!
