Darrell Issa’s Wimpier Version Of Birtherism

Rep. Darrell Issa, who 2 years ago was denigrating 9/11 victims (a conservative tradition) and using Tim Russert’s death as a vehicle to push domestic oil drilling, is planning to attack President Obama as pushing foreign-based ideas during a presentation at the Bircher-sponsored CPAC event.

This is the part where I point out that Issa and the brand of ideas he represents isn’t the fringe of the conservative movement, but rather what passes for acceptable discourse on that side. And then I kid myself by thinking the mainstream press would actually do anything other than carry water for these people.

    Black conservatives are the best to know about this movement since they have struggled in so many ways over the years. They understand that big government and entitlements not only hurt them but hurt everyone by making themselves slaves to big government. It won’t happen with these people. They are true Americans and true conservatives. They don’t need anyone to tell them how to lead their own lives. As a Tea Party member myself I am glad to join ranks with black conservatives to fight this socialist. big government and to keep our Constitution safe from these Progressive morons!

    I totally hate foreign ideas. Like the ideas of Locke, Rousseau and Montesquieu. Those foreign ideas really piss me off.

    Uh, so no “black conservatives” are Christians and thus, follow the Bible (and please don’t insult my intelligence by telling me that the aforementioned book doesn’t tell people “how to lead their own lives”)? Why don’t you think a little before making yourself look like a fucking idiot (the worst kind, incidentally) by typing stuff that has broader applications than you fail to realize.

    Besides, it’s not just “progressives” who are telling people “how to lead their own lives.” If I had a nickel for every time I heard some conservative say that women who have small children shouldn’t work outside the home, I’d have enough money to make Bill Gates look like a pauper. Gee, wasn’t that noted pinko “Nancy Reagan” telling kids “how to lead their own lives” with her “Just Say No” campaign? Yeah, I guess telling people “how to lead their own lives” is only bad when someone on the left does the telling, huh? Fucking logic-impaired, double-standard-espousing idiot.
