Good for them- but of course it won’t be on the Super Bowl, only wingnut-approved ads are allowed there.
Yes because we know that people who decide to not abort their children who grow up to be wonderful productive people are just a bunch of “wingnuts.”
Crikey.
CBS won’t allow gay ads but is “liberal”
No, people who think that the decision they made not to abort their children is the right decision for other people are a bunch of wingnuts.
Even more precisely, people who think that other people should continue with medically risky pregnancies because their gamble turned out A-OK are wingnuts. Wingnuts who either don’t understand risk, or who are OK with a certain number of women and fetuses dying.
This is an area of life where everyone should just mind their own business. Period.
Or, and FAR more often in my experiences with them, people who really just want to exercise control other people’s lives.
Love the ad by Plan Parenthood. I would advise them to still get the ad on air just on another channel during the Super Bowl. Advertise it from now till game day that their ad will be playing, but on a different station.
Medical decisions should be made by patients and their doctors, not the government.
Please Sean. You’re not stupid and going with they, “They want to control others” line of reasoning is stupid. Don’t worry, I won’t stick around to read your response. It’s nonsense like this that quickly reminds me why I don’t was valuable seconds of my life wading through the sludge that is Oliver’s comments section. Cheers.
I HATE IT HERE SO MUCH I CAN’T STOP POSTING MOMMY MY DIAPER IS FULL WAHHHH!!!
Don’t let the door hit your ass on the way out.
That is one of the best messages I have heard about the issue in years. I may just have to throw some coin to Planned Parenthood for that one. It was positive, it was uplifting, it was respectful. I wish it was playing on the Super Bowl. I do hope this ad gets a lot of circulation. Thanks, Oliver for sharing this.
Bingo, Sean.
Yeah — I don’t often bother to post from the cheering section, cuz why bother, but I have a lot of respect for those players for making that video in the way they did. It really comes down to whether or not we trust women, and to see two strong men standing up to make a statement of the trust they have in women — that’s a significant statement.
Translated Jay: You’re stoopid and I’m going to show my superiority by running away (but not really) and claiming I don’t spend time here (when obviously I do).
It’s actually an impressively compact demonstration of cowardice, ignorance and stupidity.
… except Pam Tebow’s. If Planned Parenthood actually respected her decision, then why does this ad exist?
Jaim’s liberal hypocrisy at its most evident.
Here’s Jaim being Jaim.
And again:
Who’s really the one more prone to whining and asking his mom to change his diaper, Jaim? That’s the biggest crybaby post I’ve ever seen on a blog. It’s a waste of your time to post here and you claim you got the screw job, yet, here you are gracing everyone with your presence.
It’s one thing to be a hypocrite, it’s another thing to forget when you taunt other people for being exactly what you are.
Moron.
I must have missed the part where the ad advocates forcing women to get abortions.
Oh and Sabe, this the stupideat retort you’ve ever posted. Congratulations.
Didn’t one of the players in the act actually state that he respected Pam’s decision?
“If Planned Parenthood actually respected her decision, then why does this ad exist?”
Lame.
This comment is indicative of someone who doesn’t want to have an intelligent thought-filled discussion, who just may gain something. Your vibe is so very “Slam, bam, thank you ma’am” and from a woman’s point of view…..eeehewww and etch and yuk!
