Here’s An Idea: Don’t Mutilate Your Dog
Tweet
I know that dog barking can be an annoying thing. God knows the resident dog here at OW.com HQ has a bark that is far disproportionately louder in volume than his size, but debarking just seems amazingly cruel. There is a viable case for spaying and neutering, but this is just mangling a dog’s vocal cords for your own human needs. Gross.

That’s fucking stupid. Even the little dog shockboxes are ridiculous. Dogs bark. If you can’t handle that, then don’t get a damned dog.
Is there a surgery to keep my fish from swimming? It really bothers me when they do what comes naturally to them.
What!?
What won’t human beings do?
Just why would any decent human being would want to take a dogs voice away?
I was saddened to learn that such a thing is practiced.
As a cat owner, I’ve been more than familiar with the debate over declawing over the years, and this strikes me as several degrees crueler.
