Leno Primetime Cancelled

4:15 pm EST January 10th, 2010 | News | 8 Comments

No surprise.

NBC Universal TV Entertainment chairman Jeff Gaspin confirmed Sunday to reporters at the Television Critics Assn. press tour in Pasadena that the network is going ‘back to basics’ — scripted programming at 10 p.m., talk shows in late-night and a traditional network upfront in May.

And the network clearly thinks the remedy to this is to screw over Conan O’Brien (again). NBC doesn’t get must see anymore.

NBC got warning in the beginning that their “experiment” wasn’t going to work. I feel bad for Conan though.

Leno=Epic Fail. The Giant head of late-night still may get spared with the time change.

Seriously, did anyone think this was NOT going to happen? Besides NBC and Time magazine, really?

    A.

Leno needs to be put out to pasture. He is old hat. He can make a lotta money doing a couple shows a week in Vegas from now until he drops dead. Or why doesn’t he build his own place in Branson?

Give Conan his ten or fifteen years at the helm, for corn’s sake.

Maybe its his style or ‘brand’ of humor, but I’ve alway thought Conan has had one of the funniest variety/talk shows on the air. The only problem I ever had with his show was it came on too late. Thought that problem was solved, but now, N(uckleheads)BC is going to screw it up…again.
