Climate Deal Reached In Copenhagen

A step forward for common sense.

The U.S. and four other countries reached a ‘meaningful agreement’ aimed at breaking the logjam on a broader international framework on climate, President Barack Obama said on Friday.

The proposal, which next goes to the full U.N. summit of nations here, includes a way to verify reductions of heat-trapping gases that cause global warming.

It also would require each country to list the actions it will take to cut global warming pollution by specific amounts.

You’re not even trying to cover your track these days, are you?

Obama will be attacked left and right now for just about everything. Like he wasn’t before, but now from the left. Oh wait, he pretty much has been. Apparently, the teabaggers are like the progressives….or something stupid like that.

My respect for Obama went down a notch for negotiating with a rat like Lieberman, but people need to lighten the f up. I get enough irrational speak from Glenn Beck, I’m tired of hearing it from the left.

I’m not attacking Obama for going to Copenhagen, but let’s not trumpet a “deal” that really doesn’t accomplish anything. (Climate change isn’t a top priority issue for me fwiw, but from the scientists I’ve read who really are concerned, Copenhagan did nothing.)
