The Washington Post refuses to run an op-ed responding to Sarah Palin’s ridiculous ghost written op-ed on climate change.

Thanks, liberal media.

Well, a fact-based, scientific response written by an actual scientist wouldn’t get picked up by Drudge et al and generate a lot of Web traffic, now would it?

  2. Rheinhard says:

Well, all the scientist needs to do is interlace the charts and description of data with the occasional, “oh, and btw if it wasn’t obvious by now, Sarah Palin is a lying ignorant bitch”, and I think you’d get plenty of Drudge hits and web traffic.

And in this case, unlike the Palin piece, it would have the added benefit of actually being true!

“Ghost-written?” So, who wrote it for her? And if she’s gonna use a ghost-writer, why wouldn’t she find someone competent?

Oh, I get it. She’s teh stoopid, so therefore she must have had help with it. Never mind that she’s said nowhere near as many stupid things as the guy who did end up veep.

It reminds me of the time the New York Times asked then-candidates Obama and McCain to write about their Iraq policy. Obama’s sailed through. They rejected McCain’s because, unlike Obama, he didn’t offer a timetable for withdrawal. Never mind that the whole point of McCain’s piece was to reject the notion of a calendar-based Iraq policy; he didn’t point to a date and say “that’s when we’ll be out,” so the op-ed piece wasn’t acceptable to the Times.

Really? You sticking with that? Really?

Could not be more laughably untrue.

  5. Joe Anonymous says:

Yeah, I’m sticking with that, funk. Anyone who is unfamiliar with Biden’s decades of foot-in-mouth disease is a willfully ignorant dipshit.

Which, now that I think of it, explains you to a nutshell.

No one with half a brain* would call Joe Biden stupid. Prone to malapropisms and verbal gaffes, yes. Stupid? Hardly.

Sarah “I’ve read them all but can’t name a single one” Palin? The “It took me four tries before I found a college I could actually squeak through with a diploma” Sarah Palin? So stupid it burns.

*of course, that does explain a few things about Joe…

erm… Joe Anonymous, that is. The whole “half a brain” thing. /facepalm

Way to raise the level of the debate.

Must feel safe for you to retain a high school mentality into adulthood.

  9. Joe Anonymous says:

SQ, I didn’t say Biden was stupid. I said he has an unparalleled history for saying stupid things.

No idiot could pull the bullshit he does.

What I meant that he’s nowhere near as smart as he thinks he is.

During his debate with Palin last fall, he dazzled everyone with his oratory. Until people had time to factcheck him — and that is always a good idea with Biden. The man simply can’t talk for more than a minute without veering into complete and utter bullshit, and the more convincing he sounds, the purer the bullshit. The McCain camp put together a list of 14 “misstatements” Biden made during the course of that debate.

No, the only way Biden is a moron is that he tends to believe his own bullshit — and thinks everyone else does, too.

    Such as, apparently, you, SQ.

Well, to be fair, the NYT wouldn’t run McCain’s op-ed response to Obama’s op-ed. So this is payback of a kind?
