In the same week that the South Carolina GOP chickened out and wouldn’t pull the hook on Mark Sanford, his wife Jenny Sanford has filed for divorce.

    Family Values in full effect. I vote we stage a tea party protest against this. We cannot allow divorce to continue, it totally is destroying marriage. Come on, who is with me?!?! Can we try and get some sort of proposition passed maybe? Where are all my defenders of marriage? Come on and lets do this!! I will bring the tea bags, you guys just come on down and support the good fight!!!!

    sounds like a plan….ya know, if we’re gonna define marriage as only between a man and woman, and deny equal rights to our LGBT citizens, it only seems fair that we give up something ourselves–the right to divorce.

    I’d sign onto this petition, if I ever see one….hell yeah

    So Jenny Sanford catches praise from the Left for leaving her cheating, philandering, put-her-to-shame-husband, but Silda Spitzer catches no grief for staying with hers? Double standard much?

    Except that Spitzers’ conduct was criminal, and he, unlike Sanford, had the good sense and grace to resign before becoming the laughing stock of the nation as Sanford became after returning from his ‘hike on the Appalachian Trail’ and all his billet doux were published for the world to read.

    Good news…there’s a group doing just that, pushing the 2010 California Marriage Protection Act.
