Ochocinco’s $30,000 Sombrero

The NFL has fined Chad Ochocinco for putting on a sombrero after he scored a touchdown. For some reason, unlike when T.O. used to do these sort of stupid antics, it doesn’t bother me when Ochocinco does it. Maybe it’s because he doesn’t come across as an asstastic wide receiver diva when he does them.

The problem the League sees is the “Who will top it?” problem. It’s a valid concern, but a real league would have made the fine in pesos.

How great is it that we’re talking about a dude whose actual legal name is “Ochocinco”?

I think the “No Props” rule was installed because of T.O.’s sharpie and Joe Horn’s cell phone. But c’mon. If you’ve got a sombrero laying around on the sidelines, who is that hurting?
