The point of the Post is for David Broder to say health care reform is a “budget buster” while he’s on Medicare
Allow me to translate the Post’s mission statement for those of you too liberal to understand economic reality.
We are losing our asses in the newspaper business and can no longer afford the expense of the divisions we’ve just closed down. Soon we may be forced to shut down entirely but at the moment we are in a bit of a state of denial and are trying to hang on. Damn Craig Newmark and damn the internet.
