So this rich old guy calls the famous surgeon: “I hear you’re now doing brain transplants. I’m not as quick as I used to be, so what can you do for me?”

“Well,” says the surgeon, “I could get you a CEO’s brain for 1 million dollars.”

“Hmm, what else have you got?”

“There’s a physicist’s brain here for 1.5 million.”

“Interesting, but what else?”

“I’ve also got a tenor’s brain, for 10 million.”

“TEN MILLION? Why is a tenor’s brain worth that?”

“Well, you see, it’s never been used.”

(Sorry, and one of my favorite musicians and musical experts is a tenor; but that’s the tale Peter Schickele tells.)

So, a lousy twenty-some grand for Mussolini’s brain? Should cost 20 million.
