Meh, false logic… Obama had Biden, who is as much of a moron as you think Palin is, if not more so.

But Palin certainly helped McCain lose. In my mind, what swung the “undecided” were two things: one, the choice of the obviously and demonstrably stupid Palin as a running mate; and two, the laughable “suspending my campaign” stunt.

Both those moves showed that McCain was a desperate whore who would say or do anything to get “his turn” as President.

Either way, OW is so obsessed with Palin that now he’s just making shit up. Anyone who was paying attention last year knows damn well that McCain never had a chance in hell to beat Barry no matter who he picked for VP. He was never popular with the GOP base to begin with and put Barry on the firing line and even he’d tell you that he had the Presidency in the bag after he beat Billary in the primaries. Palin had nothing to do with McCain’s loss, if anything she reenergized the Right and made the race somewhat “close”. Like Palin admitted on Oprah, the economy was tanking, a GOP administration was in charge, people wanted “change” and they got it. Too bad only a year later and most are starting to have regrets.

This is the key point. Right now only about 30% of Americans identify themselves as “Republicans.” If that was 45 or 50 percent, I’d understand the benefits for the GOP of bring forward an incredibly polarizing candidate. I’m not in the “please run, it’ll be amazing!” camp since honestly I don’t even enjoy the slightest risk, but if she actually ran against Obama I would imagine an even largest sweep in 2012 for him than he had against McCain in 2008.
