Can we call this treason now?

  2. durablend says:

    “Vote out incumbents”

    Well…unless they’re Republicans….

  3. Matthew Hooper says:

…was it actually paid for by the Republican party? Or just a bitter old crank with too much money? You do get billboards from those folks sometimes. Just sayin’.

  4. RBH says:

weirder things have occurred than having the Lafayette County GOP blog being unaffiliated. But Fired Up has a link to their blog. Don’t expect Blunt, Bill Stouffer, or the MOGOP Political Director (from the area) to say anything.

This is down the interstate from the Mohler farm.

  5. deus ex machina says:

The reason people come to the conclusion that this sort of thing is driven to a great extent by race is the fact that the reactions are so hysterical. So far there is nothing going on with the Obama Administration that falls outside of mainstream politics throughout Western Civilization (you know, that thing that conservatives want to protect despite their ignorance of its history). His healthcare reform stops well short of what Western Europe and Canada have in place. His bailouts of failed corporations merely continues policies begun under Bush and is standard fare for an industrialized nation. Not only that, it’s been done here before (anyone remember Lee Iacocca?). So what can possibly be driving this fever pitch of mouth foaming other than the fact we have a President Barack “Blackity Black” Obama sitting in the White House?

    • It’s all Islamic/Communist/Marxist/Socialist/Nazi/Terrorist-phobia.

You know, all that rational shit REAL Americans are justifiably terrified of that Obama represents.

      And it is Missouri.

  6. Duros62 says:

Jon Stewart summed it up perfectly last night. It’s not that they want to restrict government, they just want to restrict it to Republicans.

  7. Cargo says:

Are they just going to use ’sic semper tyrannis’ as their next slogan?

  8. Quaker in a Basement says:

Are they just going to use ’sic semper tyrannis’ as their next slogan?

I hope so. As objectionable as that one may be, it’s worlds better than “Yee haw!”

  9. jr says:

This is the militia culture that people like Larry Pratt from Gun Owners of America encourage

  10. revenantive says:

This is the same Missouri that has brought you such wonderful politicians such as John Ashcroft, Roy Blunt, Kit Bond…and State Rep Cynthia Davis.

  11. The Dark Avenger says:

Or just a bitter old crank with too much money?

I didn’t know Frank DiSalle had too much money.

  12. big bad wolf says:

    crazy, indeed.

what i like is that the billboard is on Interstate Highway 70. As in you get your craziness as you drive on a highway other people in other states paid for. idiots

  13. Jody says:

They are trawling for assassins. Nothing less.

    • Indeed says:

Between this garbage and the new Bible quote t-shirts. Monsters.

      • Jody says:

Exactly. And Glenn Beck’s ranting, and the Tea Party shrieking, etc. It’s all the same.

Jon Stewart nailed them. All the people that want limited government really just want government limited to Republicans.

  14. MJ says:

Yeah, starve the beast but not when the guy you voted for turns a $200+ billion budget surplus into a $1 trillion deficit. In that case, leave it to the black guy to clean up the white guy’s mess and give him constant hell if he can’t do it in less than a year. What a bunch of hypocrites and sore losers.

  15. Matt Osborne says:

Yes, Republicans. Become tax cheats. That will work out real well.

  16. This is even more frightening when combined with the 2009 nation-wide shortage of ammunition … because the wingnuts are buying and hoarding it an an incredible pace! It’s been going on since before the inauguration, and hasn’t let up. A random example: From the Minneapolis/St. Paul Pioneer Press 11/20:

Ammo hoarders making it difficult for hunters this season
    By Chris Niskanen
    Updated: 11/20/2009 12:26:32 AM CST

Wisconsin hunters looking for rifle ammunition for Saturday’s firearms deer opener might be reminded of the ‘Old Mother Hubbard’ nursery rhyme.

They are going to retail stores and finding the cupboard, er, stock shelves are getting bare.

A yearlong national shortage of sporting rifle ammunition, spurred largely by hoarding, continues to catch some hunters off guard. On Thursday, I was one of them.

I made visits to three sporting goods stores — Fleet Farm stores in Oakdale and Hudson, Wis., and Gander Mountain in Woodbury — before I was able to find the brand of 30.06-caliber ammunition I wanted, a fairly common variety, for my deer rifle. I picked those stores believing the big-box outlets would have the buying power to handle the current demand …

Looks like I’ll be shooting Rush Limbaugh sooner than I expected.

  17. Whoops. The Limbaugh reference is “humorous” and is explained by Raw Story HERE.

  18. Apparently, none of you were sentient during the Glorious ’60’s when THAT Revolution was coming in from the Left.

    Things did get blown up.
Banks were robbed, bank guards killed.
    Cops were assaulted.
    Traffic was stopped.
College administrators were held hostage as their offices were ransacked.
    Soldiers were harrassed and insulted.

    From the Left.

[ With apologies to Gil Scott Heron ] This Revolution will be televised, if Pres Obama doesn’t stop trying to run the country like an Intern from Democracy Now.

    • Clyde Morgan says:

Except THAT revolution was to stop the Vietnam war, a horrible war where countless died. THIS revolution is to stop…::GASP:: Healthcare.

I mean really. What kind of human being protests healthcare?

  19. daniel rotter says:

“Things did get blown up.” Of course, no rightist would ever blow up anything (Timothy McVeigh).

  20. The Dark Avenger says:

What’s your point, Frank, that there was an attempt at revolution some 40 years ago here in America by disgruntled Leftists, so now it’s the turn of the Right to hope for a revolution as well?
