How About Them Redskins?
For one week, at least, they don’t embarrass. It helps that Chris Simms played the second half for the Broncos after Kyle Orton got hurt, but this season the Redskins have lost to teams far worse than Denver.
The MVP of the game was clearly Ladell Betts, who I believe should have replaced Clinton Portis earlier this season. They won playing the kind of football characteristic of the NFC East, and the kind that I love: grinding it out on the ground.
Bring on Dallas, they’ll probably kick our butts, but if they play something like they did today it won’t be a total failure.

I didn’t see it, but that trick play sounds legendary.

Yeah, the Boys stunk it up today but I think you’re correct: they’re gonna kick some Skins butt when next we meet. Sorry, amigo.
Thanks for bringing Bronco fans completely back to the planet. After the freakish 6-0 start, local folk were starting to pretend the Donks were going to compete this year.
There was a time when Chris Simms was considered a Heisman Trophy candidate. Now he’s seen as an understandable letdown from Kyle Orton, who was an anonymous product of Purdue. My how things change.
The Cowboys were awful on offense; until half the squad wound up in the training room, the defense was doing pretty good.
