Aside from McCain, are there any Republican vets in Congress?
Tom Coburn’s thanking the vets by placing a hold on a benefits bill
Repack: yes. More vets are democrats though.
I cringe when people say “Thank you for your service”. I wasn’t a bellhop in the Army. I was a soldier. I took an oath that if it were necessary for me to give my life for my country I would do so. I went to a place where lots of men and women went to work, while lots of other men and women tried to kill us. I didn’t park cars, wait on tables, or put mints on pillows.
I busted my butt 12 hours a day, 6 days a week, for 4 years.
Could you please say, “Welcome home!”, and if you were in the service, too, say “Welcome home, Bro’!”
Thank you.
if you really want to thank me, then think of me when you pay your taxes on Apr 15th.
Just got a call from brother who is station in Greece. He is in the Navy, and I was so happy to hear from him.
He was suppose to be back home in June, but will have to wait till early next year to come home.
All the thanks to my brother, and the men and women that guard us on a daily bases for our safety.
oops should be “my brother”.
