I haven’t seen that picture since it was brand-spanking new…but IIRC, Supes used the revolving door because all the phone booths in the vicinity were in use.

Would have been cool if Clark had made like Samuel L. Jackson, as Zeus, in the Wall Street subway station scene in “Die Hard With a Vengeance”…

But…how in the world is Clark Kent or Peter Parker supposed to change in THAT?!

There’s a hilarious cartoon in a 1970s issue of MAD Magazine, where Superman has to squeeze himself into one of those teeny, newfangled phone stands to change.

There are very few of the old-fashioned booths left. Two are in an office building in downtown Baltimore – but the phones were removed. There was also a bunch in Mercy Hospital, but I don’t know if they’ve been pulled.
