This was done in 2005 and finalized in 2007 by the bush administration. You people are so darn stupid. I can't believe some of your ignorance. I lived in Alaska and when I heard this woman was McCain's VP pick my husband and I laughed. This lady claims she gives oil revenues to Alaskan citizens. The dividend has been given to Alaskans since the 80s. Also this is the same lady who denied Kodiak school district a new high school. Teachers are there teaching in jackets because the heat doesn't work well. She and her administration told them to seek grants while they decided to build a road to Haines, AK, a city that only have seasonal residents.

I guess most of you would rather attack the person and not the argument.

That's why I say, I, like every American I'm speaking with, we're ill about this position that we have been put in where it is the tax payers looking to bail out, but ultimately, what the bailout does is help those who are concerned about the healthcare reform that is needed to help shore up our economy, helping tho— it's got to be all about job creation too, shoring up our economy, and putting it back on the right track, so healthcare reform and reducing taxes and reigning in spending has got to accompany tax reductions and tax relief for Americans. And trade, we've got to see trade as opportunity, not as— competitive— scary thing, but one in five jobs being created in the trade sector today, we've got to look at that as more opportunity. All those things under the umbrella of job creation. This bailout is a part of that.

We have trade missions back and forth. We— we do— it's very important when you consider even national security issues with Russia as Putin rears his head and comes into the air space of the United States of America, where— where do they go? It's Alaska. It's just right over the border. It is— from Alaska that we send those out to make sure that an eye is being kept on this very powerful nation, Russia, because they are right there. They are right next to— to our state.

COURIC: And when it comes to establishing your world view, I was curious, what newspapers and magazines did you regularly read before you were tapped for this — to stay informed and to understand the world?

PALIN: I’ve read most of them again with a great appreciation for the press, for the media —

COURIC: But what ones specifically? I’m curious.

PALIN: Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me over all these years.

COURIC: Can you name any of them?

PALIN: I have a vast variety of sources where we get our news. Alaska isn't a foreign country, where, it's kind of suggested and it seems like, 'Wow, how could you keep in touch with what the rest of Washington, D.C. may be thinking and doing when you live up there in Alaska?' Believe me, Alaska is like a microcosm of America.

"I guess most of you would rather attack the person and not the argument."

Lets cut through the BS, the woman is a moron. Period. Everything about her screams "dim bulb". Every word that comes out of her mouth proves that. You want to crown her as your leader, haha, go right ahead. She doesn't have "foot-in-mouth-itis", she is just plain ignorant and unqualified for public office. I's almost like all someone needs to do to win your base over is keep spitting the same old buzzwords and everyone cheers.

I guess most of you would rather attack the person and not the argument.

I think we're doing both.

Do you use the same rhetoric regarding Joe Biden – someone who has had his share of
foot-in-mouth-itis? Of course not, because overlooking some slips of tongue, Biden usually has a (often exaggerated) point to make.

First of all, Sarah Palin makes Joe Biden look like a silver-tongued linguist. Also, this is yet another example of, "Well... well... well you guys do it too! Nyah nyah nyah." It's a bad and dumb defense strategy.

You may not agree with Sarah Palin

I don't. And reality doesn't either.

however, she does represent the perspective of a large number of Americans that are conservative & Christian & patriotic. She articulates their view point.

Who gives a fuck? People that genuinely think that Sarah Palin has anything useful, interesting, or informative to say are fucking morons. And I do not care to listen to fucking morons, no matter how plentiful they are, no matter how "American" they are, etc. Anyone who is a serious fan of Palin should get their head examined to make sure it's not filled with cotton candy and jelly beans.

Let me fix your statement for you...

however, she, a total idiot, does represent the perspective of a large number of <strike>Americans</strike> idiots that are <strike>conservative</strike> too dumb to breathe & <strike>Christian</strike> think the Earth is 6000 years old & <strike>patriotic</strike> like to wave little American flags around and proclaim their patriotism while simultaneously spreading lies about the duly-elected leader of the United States. She articulates their fucking stupid view point. I don’t think that our current president is doing too well despite his Ivy League education , because I am also a know-nothing wanker that doesn't realize that Obama is way more popular than Sarah Palin is, while simultaneously being 1000X more intelligent and reasonable.

...and stupid. Sarah Palin, like so many of today's modern conservative "thinkers," is a living, breathing affirmation of John Stuart Mill.

And just because someone represents a "large number of Americans" doesn't automatically make them right. A "large number of Americans" believe that the Earth is only 6000 years old. A "large number of Americans" thought that Saddam Hussein was behind 9/11. And the fact that a "large number of Americans" think that this woman is suitable for any position of authority more important than refereeing a dog sled race makes me fear for our future.

Yep, with authentic frontier gibberish.

These aren't just verbal gaffes, this is a chronic ability to string together a related set of concepts using any language known to Man.

Remember, he knew he was going to be president before he was born and was able to get that birth announcement in from Kenya into the Hawaiian papers so he would seem legitimate when he won the 2008 Presidential election. Why this man is a God!

How stupid is this woman? Seriously!

You'd think since she quit her job due to sheer laziness she could pick up a newspaper or book once in awhile and READ! What's next, is she going to start a movement to return the Statue of Liberty to Elllis Island? Absolute shocking stupidity.

I got so annoyed with her and McCain's ignorant science-bashing. Just one of about a hundred things that I didn't like about the two, but it was near the top of the list in terms of personal importance.

Nope. Conservapedia is the one, true, almighty source for all their (mis)information.

BTW, the GOP-led Congress approved the design change in 2005.

Hold on a second....is this the same Sarah Palin that was the loser in the last election? Wow, I forgot about her. All I really remember is that she was kind of hot but dumber then a bag of rocks. Well good for her, maybe when she's done "makin' speeches" she can go make me a sandwich.

I'm just kidding, I already have a sandwich. It's ok.

Jesus Christ. Regardless of people's political views, the fact that there are people in this country who consider her a legitimate politician who should be in office is terrifying.
