Note to Dennis:

Didja notice that in the last five special congressional elections, the GOP lost, including a 100+ year GOP seat and the district formerly represented by the GOP Speaker of the House?

Didja notice that the JCR vote was so close we needed the winners of the two special elections (CA-10 and NY-23) to put it over the top? Do you still think that NY-23 was unimportant?

Is this good news for McCain or what?

Don't you think Jesus weeps when he sees our nation collectively waste the most money on a broken system that insures the fewest people. Jesus weeps when he sees that our health care ranks below that of Slovokia on every measure? Does Jesus weep when another family that was uninsured (or under-insured) has to declare bankruptcy because of medical bills?

I certainly know that Jesus weeps when my autistic son is denied the therapy he needs from my private employer-based insurance plan. Or maybe you think that he doesn't have a right to treatment because I can't afford it out of pocket???

The right wing and Blue Dogs think they are on the barricades protecting "freedom" when they are in fact protecting the profits of private insurers who have proven they are terrible stewards of our system.

Keep Jesus out of it and do a little research.

Look, most of those 39 Dems were allowed to vote against the bill because they live in teabagger districts and needed the political cover. There is a reason the bill won by 1-2 votes. If the votes were needed, these reps would have come through.

That being said, these reps will not get any support for me for standing against health care reform. Especially cowardly (and Republican like) are the ones that voted for the Stupak Amendment and against the bill.

The GOPukes got their beloved "bipartisanship" - in opposition. Those Dems who voted against the clearly stated will of the people will be remembered in next year's primaries. When they come begging for donations the response should be "DON'T ASK ME FOR SHIT!!"

Better Democrats. Not simply more Democrats.

The Stupak amendment is ridiculous.

But good on Pelosi for herding so many cats, and congratulations for America moving towards a 20th century medical system.
