I guess you won’t get an answer, kth. The cons in this neighborhood seem to be okay with the Obama/Hitler connection. Maybe not an outright defense of Rush, but never a repudiation.

If the thread about this I just skimmed on Freerepublic is any indication, Cantor is just another weak willed RINO who has gone to the other side as far as most of the Teabag Conservatives are concerned. At least a couple comments indicate a belief that Hitler=Obama comparisons are unfair to Hitler.

Though to be fair, as with the always entertainintg Orly Taitz threads on FR, there are a handful of voices in the wilderness who realize that the con movement is fast disappearing down the rabbit hole. Unfortunately for them, they are generally believed to be in the employ of ACORN by the rest.

Cantor is going to get a bye on this. He’s the Republicans’ best ambassador into the Jewish community, and they all understand that he needs to protest the Holocaust imagery in order to stay in the good graces of the right-wing Jewish leadership (AIPAC, the Anti-Defamation League). As long as he doesn’t say this too often or too loudly they’ll leave him alone.

Frank, you can listen to El Rushbo say the phrase in question here. (I don't think I'm imposing too greatly; the clip is only 90 seconds and the part where he says "Hitler, like Obama, also ruled by dictate" is at the very beginning so you don't even have to listen to the whole thing.) I'm pretty sure I could find an email address for Rush, also pretty sure that he would never reply. But good for you (seriously) if you don't care to explain or defend such an utterance

On Sept. 24, when President Obama appeared on every Sunday morning TV show except Fox, his ratings were mediocre. There was no big bump. Via Huffington Post: ABC 3.29 million viewers NBC 3.08 million viewers CBS 2.74 million viewers CNN 602,000 viewers Fox (no Obama) 1.24 million viewers. That’s roughly their average weeks. Rush on Fox News Sunday last week tripled the network’s ratings: 3.89 million viewers. That’s according to the Los Angeles Times. -via Don Surber

Rush may mention Eric Cantor's remarks, but I doubt if there'll be any bitch-slapping going on; and I seriously doubt Cantor backs off his remarks about Hitler references no matter what Limbaugh says or doesn't say. I would, however, expect to see Baghdad Bob Gibbs backing off his Hitler comments yesterday: "Imagine just a few years ago had somebody walked around with images of Hitler. " 'Gee, no, Bob, we can't.

Maybe one of the wingnuts native to this site could tell me what Rush means in declaring that Obama “rules by dictate”; i.e., which of the prerogatives of the legislative or judicial branches the Obama administration has encroached upon.

Please be specific about the instance, and cite the legislation or ruling Obama is supposed to have defied.
