They couldn't emphasize enough that NY-23 was an obscure district of little importance in the grand scheme of things. Not to mention the loss of the safest GOP seat in the country until yesterday, the near extinction of the GOP in the NE and an increase in the House majority for the hated Pelosi. With the replacement of the DINO Tauscher in CA-10, Obama has improved his hand in congress by appointing a RINO and a DINO out of congress and letting the electorate put Democrats into those seats.
