EL, it just means the Obama/Goldman Sachs Administration in New Jersey just went down hard. And that is good for everybody.... on both sides of the political spectrum.

Why is it that cons always resort to butt-sex analogies- ass-raping, bending over and grabbing ankles, etc.

Seems to me that the Republic Party is a big <strike> tent </strike> closet.

See, we need to get better (or worse depending how you are looking at it) at spinning things.

For example, Corzine's loss is clearly a repudiation of conservative economic policies, which threw millions out of work and resulted in the New Jersey budget imbalance. Republican balanced budget amendments made it impossible to submit a budget without tax increases.

So in fact, Christie's win is a victory for ....liberals! Also.

Now you're getting it--when Republicans lose, it's still a win, but when Republicans win, it's a bigger win. Simple, see?

Oh, and I really think McCain needs to un-suspend his campaign again seeing as that Obama guy is on the ropes (and McCain's "obviously" got him right where he wants him!)

So Obama is supposedly weaker today. When he has 1 more Democratic Congressional seat than he had yesterday. Got it.

And btw, Owens is winning in NY, a seat that Republicans have owned since the Civil War.

Does this mean Obama is being vindicated? Please wing-nuts, hope me!

If losing two governor slots is an "ass-raping" I'd shudder to think what the Democratic landslides in 2006 and 2008 were.

You guys are welcome to the governor houses in Richmond and Trenton. I'll happily take at least seven more years of Dems in the White House and running both houses of Congress.

Palin/Huckabee 2012!

OF COURSE that's what someone would say after the ass-raping the Democratics took tonight. But facts are <a href="http://campaignspot.nationalreview.com/post/?q=NjgyMDgwYmFmYTQyODE5M2E5OTQ5ZDZiODAxMzI3ZmI=" rel="nofollow">stubborn things</a>.

Yes of course, Governors races are always referendums on the sitting President. Why when the people of California put Arnold back in office three years ago it was because we wanted to show our support for George Bush at the time. Isn't it obvious.

You're not under my skin, Dennis. You're more like a mosquito, always buzzing above the skin. I just recognize that you're a dope if you honestly believe that this is a referendum on Obama. Evidence suggests it is not, logic suggests that it's not (and/or shouldn't be), and yet here you are, crowing about these election results in an off-year election.

You want more facts? OK...

Republicans usually benefit from low turnout.
Off-year elections tend to have very, very low turnout.
Therefore, by these simple facts alone, we might expect that Republicans might fare relatively well in an election in November, 2009, when most people are not going to the polls.

I simply do not care about these election results, except inasmuch as they allow me to again demonstrate what an idiot you are. These elections mean nothing with respect to Obama. Sorry about your luck.

Maybe you should reflect about why you consider this to be such an important, monumental win for your side. A couple governorships in an off-year election, Dennis. Not that big a deal, truly. And certainly not indicative of any greater story in the national political picture.

So yeah... keep fucking that chicken though...

Additional fact*: If another national election were to be held TOMORROW, and it was Obama against any Republican you wanted to throw at him, <b>OBAMA WOULD WIN EASILY</b>.

He's not nearly as unpopular as you guys want to believe.

*not really a fact, per se, but I'm confident in the accuracy of the statement.

Facts don't stop the idiot brigade. Nothing new here, move along people...

I really do enjoy that saps like Dennis actually think that this has much to do with Obama. The media has been pushing this as a story, and he falls for it hook, line, and sinker. Big fucking shock.

Fact: Exit polls demonstrate that this really isn't a referendum on Obama.

Fact: Anyone who votes for or against a governor candidate as a statement with respect to a President is an idiot. Really stupid to vote for or against a governor simply because you do/don't like the job that another guy higher up in the party is doing.

Fact: The wingnuts are exceedingly happy about today's developments. This is hilarious. The scoreboard from the past 4 years now reads "Democrats: 192, Republicans: 8". Good for you guys, though. Enjoy it.

Fact: Polls indicate that Obama's approval numbers are slightly north of 50%.

Fact: Self-identification of Republicans in the U.S. citizenry is at historic lows.

Fact: Dennis molests collies*.

Enjoy your governorships, cons. We'll continue to have the Presidency for the next 7 years.

*May not be fact. But it's interesting that Dennis hasn't spoken up about the rumors linking him with collie molestation rings. The fact that he hasn't denied these allegations is enough to give one pause. I really wish he would come out and deny it already, and put this matter to bed. And if anyone has evidence that Dennis does molest collies, come out with it! Let's put an end to this issue.

Corzine trading at 14 on <a href="http://www.intrade.com/" rel="nofollow"> Intrade.</a>

He was trading at 53 earlier this morning.

This has nothing to do with Obama and everything to do with racism per Jaim's POV in Seoul.
