What a nutty guy
I will make this offer to Olbermann. If he has me on the show to debate Palin-related issues, live, for a full hour, I will pay his favorite charity $100,000, which is more than any profit I am ever likely to make from my film “Media Malpractice.” This offer is 100% real.
The death cult attraction to Sarah Palin from the conservative base is one of the reasons I hope she runs in 2012. Because when she loses in epic fashion, we’re liable to set off an epidemic of shrouds and sneakers.
And I’ll bet Olbermann, like the chickens**t he is, won’t accept the offer. Olbermann can’t even take a little jabbing from an LA Times blog without going into a spittling incoherent rant. There’s no way he’s going to actually allow somebody to challenge his idiocy on air with him.
By all appearances John Ziegler is clinically insane.
Oliver, your penchant for using ad hominem to discredit somebody is pretty lame. Ziegler is no more “insane” than Olbermann. The only “insane” thing here is for somebody to think that Olbermann will actually take Ziegler up on his offer. He won’t. Because Olbermann is a moron and he’s a coward.
Read the link below. Ziegler is far more insane than your run of the mill rightie radio jerk.
Surprised you didn’t slap him “racist” tag too. You la/ibel every other Republican/Conservative in the same manner without any justification.
When they say racist stuff, yeah. And Ziegler is demonstrably insane.

And such as:

You should alert these poor oppressed non-racists forthwith so they might sue O-Dub for libel! Hurry! Time is of the essence!
Wow, so Olbermann would be a chicken*hit if he declines the challange? Really? So if I challange Glenny Beck to a debate, can I assume you have my back when I start calling him a chiken*hit if he declines? For that matter, I challange the New England Patriots to a football game next weekend, how much you wanna bet the chicken*hits won’t take me up on it? Just because some nutcase wants to have a debate with someone doesn’t mean that the person challanged has to accept.
Maybe instead of challanging Olbermann to a debate, John can go make some more super cool youtube videos of himself bothering people and getting thrown out of some other convention.
Glenn Beck still hasn’t answered the question about whether he raped and murdered a young girl back in 1990. Definitely sounds like a chickensh*t to me!
No dumbass… you are wrong.
Ziegler is a reporter/journalist/talking head, and Olbermann is a talking head. They are in the same league, the same industry (news), and the same category of that industry (political commentary). You challenging the Patriots, or you challenging Glenn Beck makes no sense because you are just an average joe. Your comparison, like most that Olbermann spits out, fails miserably.
Olbermann is a hollow blowhard that wouldn’t know a fact if it screwed him in the ass. Olbermann is one of the most popular voices of the left and deserves to be challenged once in a while. Beck regularly invites and hosts guests on his show that disagree with him. When will Olby? ::crickets::
Curious he didn’t issue this challenge to Rachel Maddow or Thom Hartmann, people who love to debate conservatives.
This clip never gets old, it’s Zeigler on some ‘blind date’ style reality show. Note his awesome conservative charm that gets soundly rejected. Never been married John? gee I cannot imagine why…

He’s saving himself for Sarah I guess.
His little challenge to Olbermann is a pathetic attempt to draw attention to himself. He sure needs Keith a lot more than Keith needs him.
John Ziegler wants to drink Sarah Palin’s bath water
That ain’t bath water he wants to drink!
Jay-
Oliver engages in hyperbole a lot but he’s right here Ziegler looks to be obsessed with Palin in a scary way that makes Greta Van Susteren’s crush on Todd Palin look normal- he follow’s other conservatives around and instead of asking them about say Obama, or there own policies or something- he asks them where they stand on Palin and harasses them until he gets arrested. Now, the Palin-centric questioning might have made sense 12 months ago but its been nearly a year since the election and Sarah Palin’s an unemployed writer who flakes out on public appearances for the past 4 months.
100 grand? That’s a lot of deposit bottles.
As a UK Brit who has followed US politics for years now the one thing l can say about “Dirk” Ziegler is that he doesn’t do debate. He tries to shout down or just keeps talking over the other person.
Go onto youtube to se him in action with Nate Silver of 538.com.
“Dirk” is a menace to decent people.
Because when she loses in epic fashion, we’re liable to set off an epidemic of shrouds and sneakers.
I’d have to disagree. After all, it didn’t happen last time she lost.
Somebody should have beamed Sarah up a long time ago. I think the aliens left her here by mistake.
Ziegler’s probably a smart guy, albeit with that little touch of Asperger’s that is the signature trait of a certain kind of libertarian. The late David Foster Wallace’s Atlantic piece on talk radio was about Ziegler (very nuanced, not at all the slam-job that Ziegler took it as). Plus the dating show and his various stunts. All told a more colorful character than the average hate jockey. Unfortunately this Palin obsession really is starting to veer into John Hinckley/Jodie Foster territory.
Here’s the David Foster Wallace piece. It does Ziegler no credit that he apparently feels that this was a hit-job; if you read it it is anything but. I myself am middle-aged and somewhat overweight, yet if (say) Annie Leibowitz did a portrait of me that was not flattering but captured whatever my essence is, I’d be flattered that she went to the trouble. The Wallace article does not flatter Ziegler, but it attempts to be understanding and is by no means dismissive or reductive. Ziegler’s umbrage at the article speaks far worse of him than the article itself. But guys like Ziegler read, if at all, only for ammunition, never for edification.
