Jay:

1. I'm going to go out on a limb and guess you can't even prove said 'fake' quotes were made by those on the left. But it's okay, Lush has many, many derrogatory statements against minorities ... so many to choose from!

2. LOL - Gee, if memory serves me correctly, the quote falsely contributed to Gore was repeated - ad nauseum - by the right-wing throughout the 2000 campaign. By stating that the internet was a 'business venture' on Gores' part is patently false, which leads me to believe that you haven't a clue as to what you speak of. He, when Senator of Tennessee, pushed for government funding to research that new-fangled thing called the 'internet.' Lobbying for government funds for research does not a business venture make.

3. LMAO - Lush sunk himself in losing out with the NFL. The NFL didn't want him. Why, you ask? Because these are businessmen, who look out for that one thing they are in business for - profits. They know full well how toxic Lush is, and he would be bad, bad business. Interestingly, most NFL team owners are verified conservatives, who only contribute to GOP candidates, therefore, it being a 'democrat conspiracy' is bunk. Besides, Lush being part owner of a professional football team is like allowing the KKK to purchase an NBA team. It does not compute.

I merely bring this up to inform our insolent young pup that I have a bit more depth on the subject of education and educators than he might imagine.

Lernin' economicks at yer granpappy's knee and $2.50 will you get you a latte, Amusing.

Your authoritative understanding of scholarly pursuit is made patently obvious by the serious primary data and historical research you've presented to support the argument that accreditation drove women out of the educational field, or whatever it is you think you're saying when you wrote this:

You seemed to gloss over the meat of the post regarding the role of improved opportunities for women along with the clash of accreditation vs aptitude.

Apparently the "acadamic [sic] blood" that runs in your veins hasn't provided you with the skills to provide citations and evidence in support of your claims.

You want someone to take you seriously, Amusing? Try backing up your assertions with verifiable facts.

Although I would suggest that you first go back and unscramble what it is you've written to come up with an actual identifiable thesis. Do you think you can do that?

What is the logic, then? They didn't print the disputed quotes on their blog, not even before last week, because there was no sourcing and no transcript. They had to know that if those quotes were true, it would be highly damaging, so there was an incentive for your firm to verify them; a big incentive.

Do you not have access to all his transcripts? Media Matters has been tracking him for a long time you said; the first watchdog group to do so.

If they had no sourcing such that they didn't go with the quotes, why didn't they let people know that?

No leap of logic. Pretty simple question, actually.

LOL,
I type fast without a spellcheck, a wee bit of a computer problem. Thanks for your ever present efforts to bring this to my attention.

Fafaroo,
Happy for your amusement. I merely bring this up to inform our insolent young pup that I have a bit more depth on the subject of education and educators than he might imagine. You seemed to gloss over the meat of the post regarding the role of improved opportunities for women along with the clash of accreditation vs aptitude.

One of the benefits of growing up in a tight knit community is watching how people turn out. I've known some people since kindergarten, I watched them learn, know their abilities, and have observed their career paths.

Teaching is an art not a science. A good teacher is invaluable and rare. There are many journeymen merely serving time and muddling through and a significant minority who are both ignorant and incapable of even coming close to having the ability to do their jobs poorly. As the kids went through school, with much more job flexibility than my wife, I attended most of the parent teacher conferences. Our kids attended one of the better public schools in the state. Better, meaning it was always in the top tier of student accomplishment. I was unimpressed.

The kid's education was adequate at best. This is a district with ample money, good facilities, no shortage of textbooks and hardware and a plugged in parent community. Teachers strove to be employed here. Adequate was a best case scenario for our children. My wife made up for the inadequacies in the language arts and I boosted the science and math. Our girl was first in her class and the boy ( a serious underachiever bored to tears) did quite well with stellar SATs.

Now I realize that kid bragging is rather obnoxious but my point is that I am well aquainted with the education system not only through the carreers of maternal relations but through the academic careers of my kids at the high school, university, and post graduate levels. It's an art with far too few quality practitioners. Jaim's personality shortcomings lead me to believe he does not reside on the left side of the bell curve.

You're so cutting edge, Pollack.

I had to google that one to get it.

I won't make a reference to your comedic abilities because I don't want to see any more tears on this thread, but also because your coddling of Jaim's complete meltdown instead of the tough love from a friend he actually needed, was the funniest thing I've read in a while, so it's obvious you do have the talent for making people laugh; you just need a different venue with which to channel it.

I have the blood of acadamia in my veins.

ROFLMAO. This is the stupidest thing I've read in this thread and there so much stupid here that's really saying something.

Can you change your name to Amusing Observer?

I wonder if this comment will bear repeating in <strike>six months</strike> eleven minutes. Signs point to yes.

If you're defending Limpballs (how's that for "politically incorrect"?), you're an ass and probably just as racist an ass as that fat cretin is. You lost the election. You're the minority. Stop pissing and moaning when your de facto leader gets called out. Not manly.
