Another racism fail.

Dave Checketts, chairman of the NHL’s St. Louis Blues and the point man in the Limbaugh group attempting to buy the Rams, realizes he must remove the controversial conservative radio host from his potential role as a minority member in the group in order to get approval from other NFL owners, the sources said.

Three-quarters of the league’s 32 owners would have to approve any sale to Limbaugh and his group. Earlier this week, Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay predicted that Limbaugh’s potential bid would be met by significant opposition. Several players have also voiced their displeasure with Limbaugh’s potential ownership position, and NFL Players Association head DeMaurice Smith, who is black, urged players to speak out against Limbaugh’s bid.

The NFL, where we’re too good for people like Rush Limbaugh. But Keith “Mashed Up Bag of Meat with Lipstick” Olbermann is the face of our Sunday Night Showcase.

“The NFL, where we’re too good for people like Rush Limbaugh.”

There are seeping toxic waste dumps that poison whole communities that are too good for Rush Limbaugh.

  5. Bitter Scribe says:

And now Limbaugh, of course, will make this No. 2,018 on his list of How I Was Victimized by Political Correctness.

  6. mambochicken23 says:

Farris, whatever you think of Olbermann, to compare him to Rush Limbaugh is just absurd. And you know it. He is in no way as repugnant a human being as Limbaugh, I don’t care what your party affiliation.

Last I checked, Olbermann never told any viewer/caller to take a bone out of their nose.

Now why would so many players react so negatively to Rush Limbaugh. Huh. There’s a stumper.

    Uh-oh:

Now that Rush Limbaugh is trying to buy the St. Louis Rams, a team in a league where 70 percent of the players are black, he might consider quitting his membership in the Everglades Club in Palm Beach, which has never had a black member. Joseph Kennedy quit the Everglades when his son became president. Socialite C.Z. Guest was suspended after she brought Estee Lauder, who was Jewish, there in 1972. Florida’s New Times reports that Kleenex heir James Kimberly took Sammy Davis Jr. to the club once and they were escorted out. A source said Limbaugh had no trouble when he brought Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas there for lunch. But the Rev. Al Sharpton, who’s agitating to block Limbaugh’s purchase of the Rams, said, “At the very least he should resign — he never should have joined an exclusive club. I may go down to Florida with some brothers and sisters to see if we can have dinner at the Everglades. Guess who’s coming to dinner at the Everglades?”

Who could have predicted that Rush Limbaugh would be a member of such a despicable club?

That is correct. I guess it sucks to be you.

The amount that you don’t like it is exactly the amount that I do.

  11. canadian bacon says:

Ha ha ha. Exactly what he deserves. Grab your ankles Rush, this Bud’s for you.

  12. kth says:

The relevant comparison between Rush and Olbermann is that the latter has sense enough not to trot out his liberal hobby-horses on SNF when people just want to watch football highlights. Just maybe if Rush were possessed of similar self-restraint (and had not pooped his wholly fictitious load of “liberal sportswriters overrate black QBs” in the middle of his one and only appearance on ESPN), his bid for a sports franchise might not have been stuffed so summarily.

  13. Jaim says:

Racist drug addicts are bad for any business, not to mention he leader of a dying, unpopular political party. Shocker.

  14. Jaim says:

    Limbaugh quoted from the article:

“‘This is not about the NFL, it’s not about the St. Louis Rams, it’s not about me,’ Limbaugh said. ‘This is about the ongoing effort by the left in this country, wherever you find them, in the media, the Democrat Party, or wherever, to destroy conservatism, to prevent the mainstreaming of anyone who is prominent as a conservative.’”

No you fucking whiny racist baby, it’s about the free market deciding that you are bad for business. Other than the mouth-breathers who listen to you, you are hated by Americans for your bigoted, anti-American schtick. You are an infected pimple of a human being and no football team in their right mind would want you to be involved in their operations.

Republicans are basically just whiners at heart. They love to dish it out but they can never handle it when you put it back in their faces.

It’s not about liberals hating you Rush, it’s about America hating you. If there was any chance you’d be a successful owner the NFL would be more than happy to have you.

  15. Paul_D says:

It would probably be easier for Rusty to own a young, smooth, tanned, muscular minor league baseball team in Costa Rica. That should kill at least two birds with one stone.

  16. Burn says:

I just love knowing the limpballs has to watch Keith Olbermann every Sunday night on NBC calling highlights for an hour.

I thought conservatives take responsibility for things they do and say, right?

Well, meet consequences, Rush. This is what happens when you make your living running your mouth. People tend not to like the things you say and they can speak back too.

And like a fucking child, he cannot see that it’s his own fault so he tries to pin it on ‘teh libruls’

well, I am sure all liberals get a thrill out of seeing him humiliated and rejected in such a manner. even though it was the NFL players and coaches and owners who spoke out first.

Did any NFL coach or player or owner come to his defense at all?

  17. Amused Observer says:

“It couldn’t have happened to a nicer thrice divorced, pill popping sex tourist”

If drug use was the criteria for whether or not one might participate in the NFL just how many teams would have a hard time fielding a full roster? Piss tests for pros before every game and every week in the off season, what do you think?

  18. gumby says:

I’ll state the obvious and say that who should be an owner and who should be a player will involve different considerations, AO.

If Rush wants to suit up as an offensive lineman, I say, have at ‘er.

  19. Jaim says:

Oh, the drug use is just icing on the shit encrusted racist failure of a human being that is Rush Limbaugh, leader of the Republican Party.

And it’s beautiful to see his tears of resentment as he blames liberals for his own bigotry.

Your words and actions have consequences. No conservative welfare for Chairman Rush, today or ever.

  20. Burn says:

Limpballs life long dream more than anything else was to call sports. That’s all he wanted. he didnt care about politics. He thought that would be his springboard over to sports, and for just a fleeting moment, he had it with MNF.

And like the piece of shit hick that he is, he couldn’t keep his fat mouth shut. Talk football, or dont talk at all. There goes that dream. Was that before or after he was a Oxy-moron?

So what’s a person like him to do? Next logical step is to buy a club. Yea, that’ll show em!

But no, his football dreams are dashed forever. No club with ever have anything to do with him. Stay away, they said and they said it loudly.

  21. “And it’s beautiful to see his tears of resentment as he blames liberals for his own bigotry”

Kinda like Hitler blaming the Jews for his stepfather beating him, ain’t it?

  22. John says:

Just stumbled upon this “discussion” and read many views from several writers. The question I have is: Why are some claiming RL is a racist? What true facts do they base those claims on? Perhaps Indeed or Mambochicken23 could offer the answers for me?
    John

  23. Jaim says:

“Why are some claiming RL is a racist?”

“Take that bone out of your nose.”

    http://www.snopes.com/politics/quotes/limbaugh.asp

You people are unbelievable. If you don’t agree with me, just ask yourself why the NFL wants nothing to do with this racist, drug-addicted piece of shit.

  24. Tater Salad says:

Rush is 100% right on this one. This country is a Free Market System and for anyone to deny him a purchase of anything is wrong. Sharpton & Jackson need to keep their noses out this one. Will Jackson ever “cut off Obama’s nuts?”

    http://www.mrc.org/static/uploads/RushtoRuin.pdf

  25. Jaim says:

“This country is a Free Market System”

And the private organization called the NFL decided that having Chairman Rush among them would be bad for business, because he’s a racist, drug-addicted asshole.

Case closed. This was a victory for the free-market. The NFL made this decision on its own. Us libs are just laughing our asses off about it, because you guys have failed yet again.
