All ass, no class. Just like all the other modern sex symbols. I’ll take Charo over these waifs any day of the week. (I guess I’m dating myself with this comment…)
She’s pretty, but she doesn’t realy get my blood boiling. She is 10 years older than I am, though, and not nearly my type. Isla Fischer, Olivia Munn, Rachel Leigh Cook. I tend to like them a bit on the cutsie side. Eliza Dusku isn’t really that pretty as far as hollywood girls go, but dear god if if she doesn’t spark a certain primal reaction.
Eliza Dushku is the perfect example of a sexy woman. She’s not “beautiful” in the typical sense, but oozes sexiness. Penelope Cruz is another example. Rihanna is another.
That part in the film “Volver” when Penelope Cruz sings. Even if that was dubbed, she is a truely great actress.
Always had a thing for Kate Beckinsdale, and also her half sister Samantha a few years ago (shes a good 10 years older). Their dad was a great comic actor who died very young
I was going to post a message but, fortunately, I read your comment first. There is nothing that I can add except that I don’t find Ms. Beckinsale sexy at all. Not a bit.
I said beautiful in the typical “pretty blonde” stereotypical American view of beautiful. Penelope has the Roman nose, high forehead, dark hair. If she were not an actress, she wouldn’t be considered “beautiful” (fame and wealth amplify attractiveness to most Americans).
She looks good in pleather, I must admit. See Underworld.
There are so many sexy women out there…do we have to pick one over the others? Is this the fracking Judgment of Paris here? (Why he ever let himself get roped into that Hobson’s choice I’ll never understand…)

Sexiness is subjective. Esquire always but always chooses the typical “skinny white girl” as their sexiest woman alive (used to be Woman We Love).
Beckinsale is definitely sexy though. I would go with Beyonce, Kelly Brook, Miranda Kerr or Isla Fisher personally.
Sexy is different from attractive. There are attractive women who aren’t sexy and there are sexy women who are the typical definition of attractive.
Me, I’m quite fond of my congessperson, Donna Edwards. I’ve met her twice and she just knocks me out.

I wasn’t aware that Esquire was still being published.
“Sexiest woman alive” is hyperbole, I get that, but please. Is it ever a woman who is not an actor and/or model?
NB – Kate Beckinsale is very pretty, maybe even beautiful. And she is a decent actress. But compared to Jessica Alba? Not even close.

Pretty good explanation:) She is definetly a beautiful woman.
I saw her live on a movie set a bunch of times wearing some nice outfits slaying vampires and saving souls and she’s very sexy and terribly aloof.
I’m a sucker for Brit girls.
Beckinsdale is beautiful, and can be sexy, but sexiest woman alive? Debatable.
The best discussion of the difference between cute, pretty, sexy, and exotics was done on News Radio. Go to the 4:55 mark

Meh. Not even remotely. I’ll take Kate Winslet or Olivia Williams, thanks.
Or Rachel Maddow, though — alas — I’m not her type.

Luv, Penelope Cruz isn’t beautiful? I have to disagree there. She is one amazing woman.

@Randy the lady could use a little more ass, if we are going to go there.
I’ll take Charo over these waifs any day of the week.
Haw! Randy, you continue to be a complete cipher.

In a world with Anne Hathaway, Salma Hayek, Kate Winslet, and my own incredibly ladyfriend? Not bloody likely.

I never said she wasn’t beautiful.
