Golly, I guess this means they’re afraid of him.

  2. joaquin says:

No, they’re not afraid, but it does seem silly and trivial for the leader of the free world to attack some media talking head.

You were thinking that the White House web site is actually written or edited or reviewed by Mr. Obama? Sorry, that’s incorrect. “The Leader of the Free World” is not blogger-in-chief.

  4. joaquin says:

    Please tell me you’re kidding.

  5. Indeed says:

In the White House’s defense, Beck is a total fucking wingnutty douchbag who could stand a whole lotta slamming.

  6. Jody says:

It’s important to respond to a liar with the platform Beck has. Good on the Whitehouse for standing up to him.

  7. Duros62 says:

I think they should invite him to do his show from the White House. See just how big his cajones really are.

  8. dirtyCommie says:

Call him out. Damn straight. The man said he’d do it.

  9. RVnGrammy says:

A lot more people need to tell Beck to stop lying. He is about to join Limbaugh as the biggest liar on the air.

Interesting ad on your website, Mr. Willis.

I’m amused that one of the quotes there features Glenn Beck’s guest Pat Cadell (no doubt still being billed as a “Democrat Strategist”). As Oliver observed previously, this guy hasn’t been a strategist of anything approximately since I started voting, and if he’s sitting around agreeing with Beck, he ain’t much of a Democrat anything…

joaquin: No, they’re not afraid, but it does seem silly and trivial for the leader of the free world to attack some media talking head.

I find that ridiculous in so many ways.

Fact is, Beck does have a notable amount of influence on political debate. Claiming he’s just “some media talking head” is to ignore that reality.

And I find it interesting, although consistent, that no objection is made to the fact that Beck lies, but rather to the fact that those lies are being called out.

I’m sorry, you were saying what about President Bush responding to Michael Moore about something?

  13. canadian bacon says:

I know this is far fetched but Beck needs a bit of intimate prison time so he could confront his inner coward. Nothing like a prison friend to help him limp along, bow legged and crying like the fuck that he is.

  14. SaveFarris says:

If only the White House were this combative with Ahmadenijhad.

How could anyone dis the Olympics? It’s the Olympics! Sure, a good part of it is bread and circus, but is that really that bad?

  16. Repack Rider says:

Does anyone remember “Bush Derangement Syndrome?”

    Those were the days.

  17. Typical to attack the person than to address or refute the facts presented. It appears that folks are unable to do more than to cast aspersions, when faced with legitimate questions and irrefutable facts. IE: Van Jones
