To get some of that yummy stimulus money, they somehow decided to kill credit lines on their revolving charge accounts - in other words, they slammed existing credit limits down to their customers' balances, leaving many of their beloved small business owners (me again) stranded, and killing their credit scores in the process by destroying their debt-to-credit ratios.
