I think his smile indicates that he couldn’t possibly have been born the United States.

I don’t know anyone who smiles like that, and I’ve been all over the country – do you?. I think the Birthers are going to jump on this.

Meanwhile, the mostly white republicans and what passes for media (99.95% white) in this country are doing everything they can to try to undermine President Obama.

They are, of course, assisted in their efforts by many who masquerade as black. These are black folk who have suddenly found themselves with two nickles to rub together so they become republican. They have earned their golden knee pads by appearing on white tv shows with white hosts (what else) to do their own bit of Obama bashing and by actively participating with the white folks in trying to destroy the Obama presidency. Travis comes to mind along with a bunch of psudo-intellectuals who identify themselves as “black public scholars” or some such.

Now, some of the good old white folk are trying to destroy ACORN and to somehow link the President with the latest phoney scandal. But we are so concerned with his smile. How pathetic can you get?

And who do we hear defending ACORN? Certainly not any of the black public scholars, or Travis, or anyone else of that motley bunch who blabber on tv white gasbag shows. These people have access to the public air waves and could, if they spoke out en massse, question the actions and motives of those behind the latest efforts to destroy an organization that helps poor people, many of whom are black. They could offer a defense that those of us do not have access to the public air waves cannot. Must keep the gold on those knee pads from wearing out.

Then we have this group of blog owners who have nothing to offer and the silly responses from barely literate readers with a poor command of the english language who have no clue as to what is going on. But we are so concerned with the way the President smiles.

While black folk whine about a smile, I guess we will have to leave the questioning of motives to people like Rachel Maddow and a few other WHITE journalists.

Why not a subject like “what can we do to get BLACK people with the means and resources to start standing up for President Obama, black people and organizations like ACORN”?

But how the President smiles is the most pressing concern for many black people.

The world is domed.

the paranoid in me is wondering if the ‘consistent smile’ thing is code-speak for “wa’melon-eatin’ grin”
