Najibullah Zazi Indicted For Bomb Plot

Terror suspect Najibullah Zazi was indicted Thursday on a charge of conspiring to detonate bombs in the United States.

Zazi is to appear in court Thursday in Denver on a count of lying to terrorism investigators. The new charge of conspiracy to use weapons of mass destruction was filed in New York.

Court documents charge that in July and August, Zazi and associates in Denver purchased large quantities of chemicals that could be used to make bombs.

    Maybe the Obama Administration should get directly involved. They could make sure that after Zazi reveals everything he knew through effective, legal interrogation, he could then be tortured for the specific purpose of eliciting anything which would advance the Administration’s political agenda (e.g., like the monsters of the previous administration did vis a vis “al-Queda is in league with Saddam”), all before Zazi stands trial. Never fucking forget.

    If that was one’s goal, why not just claim Zazi said something even though he didn’t? Seems easier to just skip the messy torture if you’re pursuing falsehood anyway.

    Because if you don’t actually torture them you don’t get to actually feel manly.
