Yeah, when the President’s folks put out signals to a governor like David Paterson that he should drop out of the race… that’s not a good sign.

Next governor of NY is Giuliani if he wants it.

  2. Doubtful. Giuliani’s political power in NY is pretty low nowadays. I think while a moderate Repub could win, Giuliani is damaged goods.

    Andrew Cuomo, bitches

If the Dem nominee is Paterson, definitely. If the Dem nominee is Cuomo…well, Giuliani could still win, but Cuomo would certainly make Rudy sweat for that victory. In the latter matchup, I certainly doubt it would be the cakewalk for Giuliani that MrGreyGhost implies it would be.

Truthfully, I don’t know who would want to be governor of New York or just about any other U.S. state, especially ones with major cities, right now. With a horrific economy, taxpayers who won’t tolerate the slightest tax increase, and stinginess from Washington that will only get worse, most states are drowning in red ink and struggling to maintain the barest minimum of services. Personally, I’d rather muck out sewer pipes than try to handle a mess like that.

No, he discriminates against the electorially disadvantaged.

    Obama is a doesn’t-like-Democrats-who-will-certainly-lose-to-Republicans-if-they-are-on-the-ballot-ist.

  10. Isn’t a “blind Democrat” a redundancy ?
    (Sorry, couldn’t resist)

  11. That made me LOL out loud !

    LOL,
You’d think Barry Obama would have more important things to deal with on a national or international level than meddling in the soveriegn affairs of one of the several states. But then again he really likes to meddle with things that are out of his baliwick.
