He could have gone for something other than a striped bow tie, but I want to say that I approve of politicians showing more sartorial creativity. The universal uniform seems to be plain dark suit, white shirt and a red or blue tie.
I want to see more pinstripes, maybe a mod-suit or nehru suit every now and then. Mix it up with some more colorful shirts, too.
Steele is planning to audition for the part of Brother Mouzone on “The Wire.” Of course, he doesn’t realize that (a) the role was already cast, and (b) “The Wire” is no longer being produced.

Although Steele is wearing a suit and bow tie both the suit and tie are a little too loud to be considered appropriate for members of the Nation of Islam. I will give Steele a few sartorial points if he actually tied the bowtie himself. The design and color of the tie are not quite right for that particular chalk (note: not pin stripe) stripe suit. He needs Sarah Palin’s fashion advisors.
