The opposition is rich. Somebody is probably beginning a study of the connection between the insurance lobby’s millions-per-day and the deluded protesters. Maybe Big Pharma/HMOs > Murdoch/Big Media > O’Reilly/Beck/Limbaugh > morons? By the time it’s in print, health care reform will either be gutted, absent the public option, or not.
Place your bets.
Of course most of the opposition is stupid, but it seems to be working.
I’m still hoping for the best for health care reform, but the signs point to a gutted bill filled with giveaways for insurance big pharma, and whoever else can buy their way into the bill.
I watched the 60 minutes Obama interview on TPM, and just had to laugh when I saw the clip was sponsored by phizer. Now there’s a stinkin’ irony for you.
Well at least they spelled this one right.
If the Dems would just re-title this the
“Defense of Patriotic Well being and anti-germ warfare act”, then when it came to vote in congress we could all yell at those who don’t vote for it for hating America!
You must hate America and love germs because you wouldn’t vote to defend my patriotism and the well being I need to be patriotic!
We’ll pay for the plan by cutting funding to education…since that doesn’t seem to be working anyway.
