While I can't speak to the intelligence of everybody there, my seat neighbor and I got acquainted by comparing recollections of initiatives past, running all the way back to JFK (earlier ones we relied on historical accounts). Just an aside, the microphone went on the fritz for the two doing the Pledge and the National Anthem. The crowd immediately filled the gap, affirming their patriotism to these United States. A very emotional moment. I was at the Minnesota event and the crowd covered the rainbow.
