Starr? Not even top 25 QBs all time. What'd he do before and after Lombardi?

Packers were an amazing team. Their offensive line had, what, four H-o-Fers? Hornung. Taylor. Etc. Put Starr on the Eagles and 'Skins of the sixties, and Jurgensen on the Packers, and the results would have been the same for the Pack, but the Eagles and Skins might have been even worse.

Great leader. Consummate winner, but statistically in the same league as, say Don Meredith.

Sounds like MJ played the whining bitchy punk in his speech at the Hall of Fame, like he hadn't made it emotionally out of high school play in North Carolina. Not a word of graciousness about him, all about settling scores.

The Greatest Ever.

One thing O-Dub -and I ain't hatin'

Bill Russell.

Just because you're a electrifying high scorer, doesn't mean you're "the greatest"- It's about winning too and not playing baseball in your spare time.

Bart Starr is not the greatest QB in the history of the Green Bay Packers, let alone anywhere near the top 10 of the NFL.

Unitas is the guy you want, if you are going old-old school.

Huh. As of 10 years ago The Sporting News rated him the 41st best player in football history. It's like picking Tony Gwynn or Mel Ott to represent baseball.

Anyway, nice tribute to Money. He was truly awesome.

what took so long?

You have to be retired for five years, and MJ has only been retired since 03 (the Wizard years).

Aw yeah. That one playoff game was just um-bee-leevable when he had the flu and could barely stand, but he still hit the winning shots down the stretch.
